Publisher's Summary

Ex-detective Georgia Thornton returns to reality TV in the third mystery from the USA Today best-selling author of A Second Chance at Murder.

Pool your resources....

After two hit reality TV shows brought ex-detective Georgia Thornton into America's living rooms, audiences can't get enough of her quest for love and justice. Now producers have come up with an all-new show set in a haunted castle in Golden, California. Georgia and nine other contestants will need to solve the mystery of a young woman who disappeared at the castle in 1960. Except there's one rather substantial problem waiting for everyone when they arrive: a groundskeeper is found drowned at the bottom of the castle's empty pool. Now Georgia and the other contestants will need to work together, because there's a different sort of game afoot - and it's not one they can afford to lose.

lackluster

The storyline wasn't interesting enough for me. I struggled to get through it. Better suited for the young reader.

Super annoyed with the main characters

So, I’m going to echo what some others have written. Scott was really annoying and down right a jerk in this book… and I feel like it’s out of character for him. I think the author is trying to prolong their ‘will they? Won’t they?’ Love story, but honestly the first book was adorable and then he was missing in the second, I just don’t buy him being this chauvinistic jerk in this book: ‘how come you don’t cook for me?’ And ‘isn’t my salary enough if we get married?’ I just don’t buy it. If his head injury changed his personality on that level, I don’t think Georgia would have stayed with him. In the end he proposes after saying in the beginning ‘I don’t feel in love with?’ I found a lot of this unbelievable. You fell back in love in 3 days? After we are to assume multiple months together between book 2 and 3, and the spark didn’t happen? But three days of fighting and awkwardness back on screen did it. Author kind of missed the mark on this one for me. I’ll probably read another book, cause I still have the story 4 stars overall… but man did he tick me off.

just okay

I am not impressed with the reality show theme or the romance between the Georgia & Scott. Scott is a jerk. most of the characters are just lame.

Lacks Continuity

Scott is about as schizy as they come.
This just wasn’t a believable story. Between the unreal medical and the unreal legal, ping ponging all over the place, it was just rather unreal. Many elements of a good story. Played as as grade c made for TV in my head.
