Story
Dungeons are a lot like sea turtles. They’re born in clutches of dozens, if not hundreds. A 100 may be born at one time, buried in still-burning cities, in forests where the canopy hides the sky, or in ocean trenches at the bottom of the sea. But, only one in a clutch ever makes it to the surface. Everyone knows about dungeons - monstrous factories that emerge out of the earth, full of riches and Arcana and power - and monsters.

Carl was a regular construction foreman. Not the worst, not the best, and definitely not the thinnest. Even so, he didn't deserve that heart attack! He really didn't deserve being reborn into a dog-eat-dog world as a dragon. To be fair, it’s nice to be at the top of the food chain. Now Carl just needs to learn how magic works, which monsters are safe to eat, and why his hoard is so important to him. Dealing with change is hard enough, but he has enemy dragons incoming, hostile environments, and foes constantly trying to get bragging rights by taking down a dragon.

Every man, woman, and child was given a weapon and ordered to fight. The story is filled with inconsistencies and for me made the story painful to read. The “value” of life, from the way history is presented should be great but cut-out-characters disregard life on a whim without explanation.
There were some interesting aspects, like weapon spirits. That can manifest a body? Weapon spirit wields itself?
Along with early writers errors This Cursed Sword is Rated E rates an D.

Very different kind of hero.
I liked that the hero has a very off personality, being an awakened object his mental state has a kind sociopath vibe but it works in that he is not a human and can not be expected to think like a human does.
The narrator having a English accent gives more polish and reminds me of a BBC documentary series.
I would recommend this book to anyone you loves progression stories, might, swordplay and magic.

The beginning of this book is... rough... it constantly repeated the same lines over and over again and had little substance. That being said, it quickly came into its own and had a great progression system. Worth the money/ credit!

New perspective. Well narrated. Great plot/story.
This almost felt like Dungeon Core inside of a sword and I loved it! This is a great story from a perspective I have never read or entertained before. Chris and Wolfe did a great job on this one. Once the bloodlust in the sword was matched with the bloodlust in a human, I knew this would be a great adventure and it is! This was my first time listening to anything narrated by Jonathan Johns. I enjoyed his narration but did speed it up to 1.2 for a better flow in my opinion. Great overall and look forward to the next book and narration!

I can't wait for book 2!
This is an awesome story, once I started I could not stop. I consider it a good read when I feel emotionally connected to a character, without spoiling anything let me just say the action is perfect, the progression is sat I actually got watery eyes. All in all this is a very good book and I definitely recommend it! I can't wait for book 2 now!

Cool unique concept. I can honestly say that I have not read a book that has a sentient sword as the main protagonist. There are some cool LitRPG elements with a mix of cultivation. I enjoyed the unpredictable plot. Solid narration.

Excellent
This book stood out for me. The fact it is from a sentient sword finding its way in the world was certainly a different viewpoint, and it worked. There was good pace, and world building skills were excellent used. Im hoping Red has further stories as I feel there is still more to learn. Well done
