Story
Five hockey players, a cabin in the woods...and little old me, Winnie Berlin. Sounds like the start of a fantasy, right? But it's not. It's my reality. It all started when I got lost in the middle of the Canadian Rockies. A wicked thunderstorm sent my car mud sliding into a ditch, and for a girl whose survival skills involve finding the nearest Starbucks, I was in deep trouble. Forced to abandon my car in search of help, I stumbled upon a cabin in the middle of nowhere.

The quintessential question asked to every couple. And the answer is usually some bubbly, lovey dovey tale of being struck in the bum by Cupid’s arrow. My meet cute (well, not so meet cute) is slightly different. I was trolling a wealthy neighborhood in Beverly Hills, searching for someone to take me as their bride, you know, to make my arch nemesis jealous who consequently just fired me.

I was hanging with the girls, celebrating my divorce, when I saw him - my crush, sitting in the corner of the bar, all alone. Being single and looking for a wild night, I asked him if he wanted to join me. To my delight, he said yes. On paper, it seemed like I had hit the jackpot. And if I wasn't fresh from a toxic marriage, I would have absolutely noticed the finer things about him. But, I wanted nothing to do with being married, so when I arrived back home from my eventful weekend in Vegas, the last thing I expected to see was a new doting husband already moved in.

He's a billionaire heir. A grump supreme. Hater of people. Bigger hater of peopling with people. And my new fake boyfriend. "Emotionally unavailable" doesn’t even begin to describe Hayes Rutherford. He has more defenses than a nuclear missile silo. And he’s the ultimate catch of the century. At least, according to his bank statement. My job’s simple: Keep all interested ladies away from the walled-off heir, by pretending to be his one true love. But you know what they say about fake-dating a billionaire: It’s all fun and games, until the scandals start.

As if summoned by my dry spell, Mason Braxter makes a sudden reappearance in Meadow Creek. Six years have gone by, yet I can still remember every stupidly sculpted muscle on his body. How easy it would be to fall back into old habits. But I’m not that foolish girl anymore. That doesn’t deter my all-star ex from trying to prove we can do it right this time. Am I friends with JP Cane? Ha! That's laughable. Besides the fact that he’s adopted some far-fetched notion from the movie When Harry Met Sally that says men and women can't be friends and work together, it’s safe to say we're not friends. He's annoyingly loud, obnoxiously handsome, and has made an art out of poking all my hot buttons...multiple times a day. So you can imagine how disgruntled I am when I not only have to fly to San Francisco with him for work, but stay in the same penthouse. Yup, we're sharing the same air, 24-7. Goodness, I have no idea what I'm doing. I’m a virgin attempting to write a romance novel and I'm having an impossible time trying to write a passionate and swoon-worthy love scene worthy of being published, thanks to my lack of experience...This is the story of my awkward, humiliating, and slightly terrifying life, but like all romance novels, I know it will end in a happily ever after. I’d like to preface this by saying it was never my intention to ever get involved in a workplace romance, let alone get involved with the most surly, agitating, and pompous man I’ve ever met who just so happens to be my new friend’s brother. This isn’t a story about a love triangle. There is no triangle involved. This isn’t a story about an accidental pregnancy. Although having a baby with her...I would. This isn’t a story about lies and deception, even though at times I’ve lied to myself. No, this is my story. A story about sacrifice. A story about a man who fell in love with the wrong girl. A story I wish I never had to tell. I learned a long damn time ago, the only way to achieve my dreams was to avoid distractions - at any cost.

My heart opens to Cooper Haywood the moment we meet. How can it resist? He's charming, devastatingly handsome, and sweeps me off my feet before I realize the impact he's making. And then it's too late. We fall too fast to worry about the consequences. We love so hard that we ache when we're apart. Even though I have a past that still haunts me and he has a future that could put us at risk, none of that matters when we're together. Until it does. And then everything changes.

"She went home with someone else that night?" I would like to make it known, I have a lot more swagger than what it seems. I don't normally ask a girl out, have her fail to recognize it's a date, and then give me a high five - as if I'm her wingman - and take off with someone else. No. Normally I'm the one taking the girl home, but with Stella, it's been one failed attempt after another and frankly, I'm done trying. But thanks to my best friend getting married in Hawaii right before the school year starts, I'm stuck on a tropical island.

That's how I found myself sharing a small bistro table with Kate Chapman, the Chicago Bobbies newest PR Manager. Devastatingly beautiful, vastly intelligent, and incredibly cunning, she knows exactly how to handle my grumpy demeanor. It was supposed to be simple. Publisher's Summary
From USA Today and Amazon Charts best-selling author Meghan Quinn comes a brand-new romantic comedy about a one-night stand gone completely wrong. Laugh-out-loud and steamy with a heart-stopping happily ever after.
I knocked up my best friend's sister.
Figured I would get straight to the point, because how it happened is a mere snippet of the story I have to tell. The real meat and potatoes is what happened after.
Let's start with how she decided to inform me and Pacey the news...together. Imagine that nightmare. I was going into what I thought was a hockey marketing meeting, and then bam! I'm going to be a dad and my best friend/teammate is attempting to imprint my face with his fist.
It wasn't pretty.
Threats were tossed around, friendships were revoked, and then I was marched up to her apartment, suitcases in hand, and forced to live with her so I could take care of her every need. Given how much I've pined for the girl, you would think that wouldn't be a hardship. Wrong.
This is my one shot to win my teammate back. Pacey is the only family I've got, so hooking up with his sister isn't a mistake I can make twice...despite the fact that she's pregnant with my child.
But with every mood swing, every pair of pants that doesn't fit right, and every late night run to find the perfect donut, I'm finding it harder and harder not to fall for my best friend's little sister.
Especially when she kisses me....

Overall, great read. I will say that the heroine’s hormonal antics were honestly an embarrassment to pregnant women everywhere. Just way too OVER-THE-TOP! Other than that, I really enjoyed this story. Loved Eli! Fantastic narration.

Good Story but Annoying Female
I have read almost every one of M. Quinn’s books and I absolutely love them! Her stories are top notch and her characters are so easy to fall in love with! With her characters light hearted humor and steamy one liners they usually become very down-to-earth and swoon worthy BUT the main female role in this book is TOO MUCH! I don’t know if Quinn was purposely making Penny neurotic because she was pregnant or what but I almost didn’t get through this book because of this character. I love Eli and many of the other characters but I can’t handle dramatic ones like Penny who hide in closets when they are upset and habitually lie when they get caught in awkward situations. Her behavior in many parts made me cringe and not in an “that was embarrassing but funny/cute” way. I hope for those first time readers of Quinn’s books, that they try almost any other title of hers because they are fantastic and the character development of Penny was not an accurate representation of Quinn’s work!

Romantic Comedy at its best
Let me start by saying that if you listen to a Meghan Quinn audiobook while out in public you better be ready to make a fool out of yourself with lots of laugh out (really) loud moments with a few snorts and coughs. I swear people will look at you like you just escaped from a looney bin. Meghan's books are my favorite to listen to anytime of day. I especially love listening to them while I'm getting ready for work in the mornings, or while I am out running errands, or simply browsing the stores. They truly just bring me such joy and laughter. Those Three Little Words was no different. It was filled with so many hilarious moments, but it was also so heartwarming and tender.
Narrated by Kelsey Navarro (who is becoming one of my favorites) and Teddy Hamilton (love him), Those Three Little Words , which can be read as a standalone is the second book in The Vancouver Agitators Series. I have not read the first book, Kiss & Don't Tell (Pacey and Winnie's story) so the characters were all new to me. [Side Note: I will be starting Kiss & Don't Tell today]. Not only did I love the main characters Penny and Eli, but I also loved Taters, Holmes, Blakely, Winnie (and even Pacey). The relationships, friendships, meddling made this book even more fantastic. This book was full of so many of my favorite tropes:
Sports Romance
Surprise Pregnancy
Workplace Romance
Brother's Best Friend/Teammate
Best Friend/Teammate's Sister
Forced Proximity
One Night Stand
Penny Lawes handles the social media for the Vancouver Agitators. She is funny, quirky, and full of sass. Oh - she is also OFF LIMITS to any of her brother, Pacey's teammates, but Eli Hornsby has had a little thing for Penny since he first saw her two years ago, but out of respect to his best friend and teammate Pacey he has never made a move on her. When a "chance" encounter at a bar on Valentine's Day (and Eli's birthday) brings these two together they decide to indulge in some consenting adult play time for one night only. I mean, nobody else needs to know, right?
These two were in for a ride. I really loved Eli. He had a playboy reputation that followed him, but he was one of the most honest guys. My heart ached for Eli. The man had serious abandonment issues, but he was working through them. [Another Side Note: I was not a fan of whoever Eli's therapist was]. Tators was better at giving him advice. I do love how committed Eli was to the entire situation with Penny, but at the same time I can see how this was confusing to Penny, who was already going through a lot of hormonal and emotional changes. Penny - Penny - Penny - she did a complete 180 from that first night with Eli. I love how real her mood swings were throughout her pregnancy. The pranks, the cravings, the emotions, the irrational tactics were so accurate. I loved that we got to experience it all with her. Poor Eli just went along with it all even if the man was confused and irritated. These two were a perfect match. They were both extremely patient with trying to understand one another. I really love that we got to experience their relationship growth (their fears, their emotions, their love).
- Some of my favorite parts:
**Penny breaking the news to Eli and Pacey.**
**The unexpected visit from Penny's parents.**
**Eli's first appointment with Penny.**
**Penny going out for donuts at 2 a.m.**
and so much more.
I'm going to listen to Pacey and Winnie's story and then jump right into a re-listen of this one right after

Laugh-out-loud, swoon-worthy romance!!
Sweet delicious awkward apples! Those Three Little Words by Meghan Quinn was a laugh-out-loud accidental pregnancy romance I didn’t know I needed in my life! Meghan is the queen of witty hilarious banter and smooth steamy dirty talk that will have you completely and utterly cheering and swooning over Eli and Penny to find their very own HEA with their new family of three.
This audiobook is narrated in duet by Kelsey Navarro and Teddy Hamilton, and wow did they both deliver in all the best ways! This may be one of my new favorite performances by them both. Kelsey gives so much life to strong, determined Penny. I loved how well Kelsey portrayed the various stages of hormonal, pregnant Penny. From uncomfortable, to super turned on, to just a bit crazy; Kelsey makes you feel all the things in her performance! Teddy Hamilton was sinful and swoony as Eli Hornsby. Teddy also does an amazing job showcasing Eli’s vulnerable side from his past but also conveys his caring, and loyal side as he cares for Penny. (so dreamy!) Kelsey and Teddy will also make you chuckle with their spot-on comedic timing, and burn up your earbuds with Eli and Penny’s steamy chemistry.
Overall, I loved this book! If you love an accidental pregnancy romance with a hot hunky hockey player, a sassy fierce social media influencer, a wild birthday night to remember, a protective older brother, awkward text exchanges, apples, watching Ozark, all the hormonal pregnancy outbursts, Dr. Big Pecs, lots and lots of spicy times (whew!), gummy bears, unexpected parent visits, and a HEA that will melt your heart and make you swoon over those three little words, then you will adore Eli and Penny’s story! This book may now be one of my absolute favorites, and I always look forward to more from Meghan Quinn!

You have to look at the bigger picture!
Okay, I’m going to be honest, because objective reviews are the most helpful. I love Meghan Quinn’s books. She’s an amazing author. With that said, I was a teensy bit nervous about this story because I saw some reviews where people clearly DNF’d because they were frustrated with Penny.
You guys. Listen. To. The. Book. Sure, Penny was annoying AF sometimes—okay, a lot of times. But I almost prefer that—it gives the character depth. Who the heck has time for two dimensional characters?! Not me. So, bring on the complicated, annoying heroines. There is plenty of comedic relief in this story along with moments that make you clutch your chest for a second (oh, Eli). Listen to the dang book. You won’t regret it. Penny and Eli are so stinking cute, and the ending is perfect.

just no
This was a big miss for me. I usually like accidental pregnancy tropes but Penny was just weird. She isn't the cute and funny weird but annoying and kind of crazy and very immature as a character. Eli is also immature and really comes off as ridiculous. I dont know why Penny would stick around for a guy like him, who can't say I love you, who can't even think it or realize it after so much. It just got old and whiny. They are a very unlikable couple.

Perfect As Always
I absolutely loved this book and couldn't wait for the audio. It did not disappoint! The ramblings from Penny were perfection. I couldn't stop laughing at these 2. I love the friendship between these men. I can't wait for the rest of the gang.

Tricky to rate, but overall a great listen!
This one was difficult because, overall, I really enjoyed it. The pacing was a bit weird at times, and Penny does kind of… lose it… at least four times. And we definitely see the worst sides of her as she struggles with the brain and body chemical madness that pregnancy can be, as well as feelings of (presumed) unrequited love. I forgave most of it, but it could be a bit cringey/toxic at times. Still it was fun, and Eli was dreamy!
I’m curious about the rest of the squad’s stories, and hope this narrative configuration continues. Really enjoyed the dual narration where Teddy did all the male voices and Kelsey the female voices.

Absolutely Hilarious
This has been such a fantastic listen, and has made me howl with laughter so many times!
A wonderful story of romance and many, many laugh out loud funny parts. There is also a hell of a lot of sex, which is part of what's happening in the story, but if very descriptive sex scenes aren't for you, you would definitely struggle to listen to this book!
I loved the dual narrating of it, with both narrators reading it together. Excellent work by both narrators. There has to have been lots of out takes during the narration. No way they got through it all without cracking up at times!!
This is the second book in this series about the Vancouver Agitators Hockey Team, and I really hope there will be more to follow!

Beautiful Story! Hilarious!
This is the second book in The Vancouver Agitators series, a Sports Romance. I loved it! Eli and Penny's story is beautifully written, sweet, and sexy. Penny is Pacey's sister (from Kiss and Don't Tell). She is feisty, talkative, and beautiful. I liked her determination. Eli is handsome, enigmatic, and caring. I loved to follow them in their journey to love. Some scenes are hilarious! The characters are great and interesting. Kelsey Navarro and Teddy Hamilton did an outstanding job with the narration. This is a great brother's best friend, accidental pregnancy, and sports romance. I enjoyed it. I highly recommend this series. Looking forward to listening to the next book in the series.

Sports Romantic Comedy Gold!
I was so happy to be back with The Vancouver Agitator boys in Meghan's hockey romance world. I loved Kiss and Don't Tell and have been dying to see who was up next. I have to say Eli and Penny's story did not disappoint at all.
I actually listened to this one via audiobook and I have to applaud Teddy Hamilton and Kelsey Navarro because they absolutely smashed it out of the park. The narration was done as duet narration and it was seamless. They were the perfect Penny and Eli performing perfectly and portraying all the angst, frustration, comedic moments and a whole other host of emotions needed to do this story justice. Just perfection in my ears basically!
Eli and Penny's story is a best friends, little sister, accidental pregnancy story. With Eli trying to step up to the plate to do what is right by Penny after their one night stand; he moves in with her. This of course brings so many opportunities for Meghan's romantic comedy gold. As I was listening away whilst at work (I am a postal worker) I am literally laughing out loud at the scenes playing in my ear, like tears in my eyes laughter. The fact the Eli and Penny are having to get to know one another whilst Penny's pregnancy hormones are going wild is just pure hilarity.
Of course there is more to their story outside of the comedic aspects, Eli has a few backstory things that really stop him from allowing himself to truly love and be loved. Watching him overcome this as the story progresses was so endearing. I also loved how he does everything he can to do the right thing by Penny and be the man she needs him to be. Penny is a quirky lovable heroine and the perfect other half to Eli. As the book unfolds you get a few different stages to their relationship & pregnancy and it was clear to the reader how they as a couple and as individuals were evolving throughout.
So yes, another amazing sports romance from Meghan Quinn that I would happily recommend to people far and wide. With the little tasters that were dotted throughout about the other boys on the team, especially Holmes, I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

A beautifully sweet and funny sports romance
Meghan Quinn writes the most spectacular sports romance, and The Three Little Words is no exception.
This hilariously sweet and flirty romance filled with lots of witty banter, laugh out loud moments plus some emotional times that will tug at your heart strings had me captivated from start to finish and make this one of my favourite books to date this year.
Eli Hornsby is the self-confessed playboy of Vancouver Agitators hockey team and when his teammate Pacey Lawes’ sister joined the team as social media content creator, Pacey made it clear Penny is off limits especially to Casanova Eli. Fast forward 2 years and Eli and Penny give in to lust and temptation and have one hot, sexy, steamy night then bam, five weeks later Penny finds out she’s pregnant. Chaos ensues from this moment on. We have a protective older brother, the most hilariously awkward text conversations (farts and apples), all the stages of pregnancy which gives us all the hot/spicy times (um hello, five freaking times a day!), pranks, Dr Big Pecs and the most perfect HEA that will melt even the iciest of hearts.
Kelsey Navarro and Teddy Hamilton are a narration dream team and bring Penny and Eli to life in the most perfect way. Kelsey was truly outstanding, her ability to show us listeners all aspects of pregnancy was incredible and her comedic timing…simply perfect. Teddy’s performance was phenomenal! He took Eli from a playboy to a man completely out of his depth in a forced proximity situation to frantic baby daddy and finally perfect partner. Easily my favourite performances by Kelsey and Teddy to date.
I could not have loved this anymore! I laughed and cried, swooned, and blushed, laughed some more, huffed in frustration then Meghan hit me with the baby’s name and I flaming well cried again!
Love love love this marvellous book!

I Loved it!
Meghan Quinn is one of my go to authors for a Rom-Com listen. I loved Those Three Little Words! The characters were so endearing, the storyline has chemistry and spice. Kelsey Navarro and Teddy Hamilton both are top notch narrators, and together they were amazing. This book has so many wonderful feels, and how can one say no to a hockey player!

Love those three little words
Book 2 in the series. Both characters you saw in book 1. Eli ( the hero ) is a hockey player playing for the Vancouver team. He loves women yep he’s a playboy .
Penny is the sister of one of Eli playmates . One night together changes everything especially with a little one on the way . How does Penny brother take it with both of them.
Kelsey Navarro and Teddy Hamilton performance was spot on. They brought the story to life . You were able to tell who was who by their tone

Hilarious, emotional and romantic
Oh my word! This story, I loved it. Eli Hornsby he’s so troubled and messed up, yet still a perfect baby daddy for Penny Laws. He mans up to his responsibilities after getting her pregnant during a one and done night. For the record, they both agree it’s the best they’ve ever had. What happens after the main event is the basis for this story, and what a story. Penny and her word vomit are adorable. Eli and his inability to break the bro code, no matter how far Penny pushes him. Their inner thoughts about each other and their situation. All so so funny, I was legit laughing to myself. All that said, what a beautiful, perfectly matched couple they are. I was rooting for them throughout. Their banter and sexual chemistry is totally palpable, their honestly and openness refreshing. A fun, highly emotional and extremely sexy sports romance, and if you get the audio version, you get over 14 hours of listening pleasure with Teddy Hamilton and Kelsey Nevarro narrating Eli and Penny (plus additional characters), in duet narration, expressing every emotion for each character to utter perfection. I’ve got to be honest, 14 hours and 19 minutes, and I couldn’t get enough of them - it was not long enough. I was in audio heaven.

Another great listen by Meghan Quinn
This book has many tropes. Workplace romance, brother’s best friend & accidental pregnancy. Penny & Eli had a whirlwind of a relationship and it got crazier as Penny’s pregnancy progressed. Lots of crazy hot steamy scenes 🥵 Excellent duet narration by Teddy Hamilton & Kelsey Navarro.

AMAZING
Get ready to laugh, swoon, and possibly even snort. Penny and Eli are an absolute treat that you need in your life.
Once again, Meghan has penned an amazingly funny, sometimes awkward but beautiful story.
Penny and Eli were the exact thing I needed this week, Their brand of crazy had me smiling, chuckling and even snorting at some points.
The sexual chemistry was off the charts, and as their relationship changed and blossomed, so did my opinion of Hornsby. Who knew the playboy would turn out to be the best partner a girl could ever hope for?
This group of friends is quickly making their way into my forever book pile, and I know that the more of their stories I get to read, the more I will love this series.
Teddy and Kelsey absolutely nailed the audio, it was such a pleasure to listen to.
