Publisher's Summary

Stranded in a time and place he never wished for, Kishan Rajaram struggles to forget the girl he loves and the brother who stole her away as he fulfills his divine role - that of assisting the beautiful, yet extremely irritable, goddess Durga.

When the wily shaman Phet appears and tells Kishan that Kelsey needs him, he jumps at the chance to see her again, but in saving Kelsey, he discovers that the curse he thought was over is just beginning. As time unravels around him, Kishan realizes that the fates of all those he holds dear lie in his hands.

With the power of the goddess hanging in the balance, Kishan must sacrifice the unthinkable to fight the dark forces swirling around the woman he's charged to defend. As he does, he discovers that love and loyalty create their own magic and accepts that he must decide his destiny once and for all.

Disapointing WARNING SEXUAL ABUSIVE CONTENT

I was excited for an ending to Tigers Curse out then between kidnappings and sexual abuse sences this book ruined the whole serries and any other books she might write for fear others books will have the same dark writing in them. To me this book is not a YA book and runs very close to home for those who have been abused by someone who took freedoms away from you.

The Best One

This book tied everything together and ended in a way that broke my heart. By no means does that make it not my favorite of the whole series. It brought to light real pain and issues of the world we live in, and did its best to sugar coat the most painful of abuse without taking away the gravity of the situation. Even now as I write this review I am in tears for the love I feel for these characters and their love for one another that was so beautiful performed by the voice actor. A truly amazing tale that will stay with me for a long time.

Questions Answered, but Depressing and Tragic

I'm the type of person that enjoys a happy ending, which is one of the reasons that I enjoyed the Tiger's Curse series. The first four books have some drama and a bit of heartache but aren't quite so depressing. The fifth book is definitely much darker than the first four. I did enjoy the majority of this book, despite its darker tones, since it solves a lot of the mysteries of the first 4 books, but the ending was absolutely tragic and depressing. I feel that Kishan deserved a much better ending than he received, So much so that I almost wish it had ended with book 4 since at least then we were left with the notion that all our characters ended up happy. I'm really disappointed with how Colleen chose to end this and though its been days since I finished it, my heart still feels heavy and sad when I think about it. Definitely prepare yourself to shed some tears.

Wonderful way to end the series.

I really loved this book. Some reviews said it ruined the magic of the first 4 books so i was worried I wouldn't love it as much as I loved the others but that was not the case. I thought it was a wonderful way to tie all the books together and get more information on certain characters. I really enjoyed it. I'd say it was one of my favorites but I love them all. Will definitely listen to it again and again like I do with the rest of the series.

Phenomenal!

I have loved this series for going on 8 years and this book was no different. There were a few rough spots in the middle and I wasn't always a fan of fhe characters voices. However, the audio was good and the story line had me wanting more. I am so glad I took the time and listened to this audio book.

The Magic Revealed

MINOR SPOILER: I did and did not like how this novel wove everything together. I liked hearing the story from the Black Tiger's (Kishsnan(?)) point of view. I did not like how it explained most the backstage action. IMO, it stole the magic or mysticism from the first four novels. It was like watching a magic show again. But, this time the, magician revealing the secrets behind each of the tricks.
