He's heard the rumors about all the hearts Tim's broken, but after how he's been hurt, there's no way he'll let himself fall into that trap. Story
A beach vacay with my best bud since college seems like the perfect opportunity to relax, catch some rays, and enjoy a couple of nights on the town. When I find a girl who's eager to mess around with me, I figure I've got it made. Then, I meet the intense, hot-as-hell, tattooed Eric Westright, who wrecks my world...in the best possible way. He awakens something within me - something that's always been here, but that's never pulled so powerfully...not until I looked into those solemn blue eyes and felt the red-hot spark of his touch.

I've never messed around with a guy before. Not that I haven't been attracted to guys. The opportunity just never came up. I stand at the front door, naked. My bro's roomie, Scott, is pissed about how much noise I made with the girl I just escorted out of their apartment, but I figured we were alone, and I couldn't help that she liked to scream out to let me know she was enjoying herself.

Pretty Thing - the moment Liam McKinney first uttered those words will be embedded in my mind forever. He's mysterious, intriguing...and off-limits since he's my father's friend. Easier said than done. The moment I laid eyes on the man with the dark eyes and intense stare, he awoke a primal hunger within me unlike anything I'd ever experienced before. For some time, I've been confused about my attraction toward men, but there's no confusion when I look at him - just pure, unfettered desire to feel his body against mine, taste his flesh, breathe in his scent.

If there's one thing I know, it's how to play the game...both on and off the field. If it hadn't been for that one teenage slipup where I kissed Beau Campbell, I'd be able to keep fooling myself. Football is the one thing I use to distract myself from the truth, and when I screw-up and lose the game I love, I find myself right back in Fever Falls. The night I twice rescued presumably straight Ethan Harris, I figured that would be the last time I saw him. However, he keeps finding his way back into my life - and into my bed. Guess he wasn't as straight as I thought. Ethan's full of surprises, though, and being bi is just one of them. As cocky as he can be, he's also sharp and witty and, even when he's being his most arrogant self, he's charming as hell. He likes to win, but so do I. However, as we get to know each other, I realize there's more to us than the games we play in and out of the bedroom.

A confusing first encounter turns awkward, but it's short-lived since James Warner has a way of setting me at ease. Mr. Warner, I should say. My teacher. Publisher's Summary
"I don't need a fucking babysitter."
Out and proud NFL star tight end Tad Roarke has success, money, and fame. Just about everything. Except a good reputation. After being outed by the media as a promiscuous cheat, sponsors are dropping him left and right. To make matters worse, he's been targeted as the next victim of an anti-gay celebrity serial killer. The FBI works with his team to protect him, assigning agent Bryce Finnegan as his undercover bodyguard. But Tad doesn't like Bryce from the get-go. The fed thinks he's a spoiled brat. Maybe he's right. Regardless, Tad doesn't plan on proving him wrong, and he'll do anything to make Bryce's job even more difficult. Still, as much as he hates him, he can't deny the guy's hot as hell...and he wouldn't mind passing a few balls around with him in the sheets.
"I don't get paid enough for this."
Agent Bryce Finnegan is no stranger to undercover work. With a background in busting drug cartels, he's used to his life being on the line. He's not used to putting up with spoiled rich kids who don't realize how good they have it. When he meets Tad Roarke, he expects him to be a jerk. And he's right. But the more time he spends with him, the more he realizes that all Tad's attitude is little more than bravado. He's not an asshole, and the media has twisted more than a few facts to tarnish Tad's reputation. Now Bryce isn't just worried about protecting this guy from a serial killer, but about falling in love in the process.
Tight End is a stand-alone gay romance with an HEA and no cliffhanger.

Fantastically Hot
I love sports romances, especially football, so this one definitely checked those boxes for me. Tad, a football player has an FBI Agent, Bryce, forced on him after gay celebrities start being violently targeted. I loved the back and forth dynamic between Tad and Bryce. When they got together their chemistry was super hot. Hello angry sex!
The narration by Michael Pauley of this book is fantastic and brings the characters to life.

Irresitably hot! hot! hot!
Originally I thought this book would be a lot about football, but I really enjoy Devon's books. So, be it. This book is not about football at all. This story has so many elements that its easy to forget that Tad is a famous football player. Bryce is hired to be Tad's bodyguard. Yes, the relationship predictably builds however its really enjoyable to see the two develop feelings for one another. This book is enjoyable from beginning to end.
The gay sex scenes are quite erotic. Their time together never gets old. Always unique and hot as hell!
Michael Pauley is once again over the top amazing. He truly brings the story and all the characters to life. He's the perfect icing on the cake! Job well done.
Highly recommended book. Enjoy!

So. Much. Drama.
I’ve read other books written by Devon & chose to listen to this one because Michael Pauley. However, I feel like this wasn’t one of his best. It isn’t bad. But it feels like it’s so diluted with negativity.
Tad was a top-notch A-hole for most of the book. Unapologetic about it too. He acts out, demands, does things without thinking... but yes, behind all of that is a scared emotionally scared guy who’s been hurt too often. What I don’t get is, why doesn’t he use all his a-hole-ness to stand up for himself and serve Jordan some humble pie. Instead, he carries on like a martyr who’s been wrongly accused and hated by the media and his fans. 🤦🏻♀️ he has this team... but none of them cared to clear up that big BS. Clearly, if they pushed for that, Tad would go along because he couldn’t stand up for himself. 😒
I was really struggling with him, swerving between lanes of liking him and disliking him. Much like how Bryce was.
And Bryce... how does one pass psych eval after all he went through and be cleared for field work??? And he has issues too.
Ultimately, these two MCs are flawed, both have issues with trust AND effective communication.
Their sexy times hot, but I feel like there’s passion plus anger in it.. their chemistry is intense.
There is so much going on in this book. Peer pressure, family pressure, career pressure, media frenzy, a crazy serial killer, betrayals, d-bag ex and so much more.
The epilogue, now, that was awesome.
It starts slow and it will drive you crazy.. but hang in there, Michael Pauley does such an excellent job in narrating, it’s all worth it. I think. 😉

Every character is an asshole.
I wish I was exaggerating. Even the side characters and throw-aways that exist for 6 minutes and never come up again. The relationship between Tad and Bryce is downright abusive throughout most of the story. It's also a little too busy, which makes the plot points fail to hit home like they could have if there was better character development and pacing.
It's not the worst I've read - and at least the characters acknowledge that they're being assholes - even if they don't actually apologize, change their behavior, or actually talk about anything like adults.

Above average
I'd give the story about 3.5, almost 4 stars. It wasn't bad but it got pretty repetitive and falls into the trap this author always seems to do and there's some last minute problem that threatens to derail everything despite that the couple should have more trust. But it was good, would recommend.

Fun, fun, fun...
Got more out of it then expected. Devon McCormack's writing style seems fresh and interestingly innovative when it comes to gay sex. The story doesn't offer much, but the characters are a thrill ride, not as flat as I was expecting. It was fun to see the story flop to be told from both of the main character's voices. The sex scenes (about every 7 or 8th chapters) are just pure fun and quite well written. Reader Michael Pauley is fantastic and carries the story.

Super intense
I'm almost at a loss for words. I was gifted this book by a friend who insisted that I listen to it. She's never led me wrong so I decided to give it a shot. I absolutely do not regret it. This book has everything. There's heat, action, angst, you name it it's all here. This was amazing and not at all what I expected at the start. Michael Pauley never disappoints and neither does Devon for that matter. Trust me you need to listen to this. ❤️

Wonderful story
Bryce and Tad make a wonderful (pretend) couple due to Bryce being Dad's FBI bodyguard, but a photo exposes their relationship and they say it is fake and a joke but FBI want to run it as a real deal to get the people who want Tad dead to not get suspicious. The turns that happen are fun to watch. Michael did an amazing job once again

Good story but with some downers
Spoiler alerts: the story is nicely written and the narrator did a great job. However there are some places where the couple get verbally attacked with various statements. Specially the place where an interviewer ask questions from their attacker. The story deviate from the scene in the middle of it where the attacker makes vicious statement on the lgbtq community. It would have been better if there was a comeback for his statement. But we never get to knock. Anyway this is just my opinion and should not make others enjoying the story. Because once again it was nicely written. And these are something that I would prefer to be included

good story line, great narration
While I loved the storyline, the characters in this story really aggravated me...i felt like their relationship could have had more depth to it. i did like that it really showed how a career in the spotlight can change a person and affect their relationships with others. wasnt a big fan of the sex scenes in this one... i may be saying a lot of negative but all in all it was a good book that im glad i listened to. just not one of my favorites.
