I am finished with this series

This series started off fine in book one but has gotten progressively worse in each of the following books. It has now become intolerable. Mike Talbot is no longer funny - he is boring and repetitive. His wife, Tracy, is one of the most annoying and disgusting characters in literature. She is rude, obnoxious, and critical of everyone except herself. If is sad that a husband is afraid of his wife and what she will do to him if she doesn't agree with him, or doesn't like what he says. If the author is married and has used his wife's behavior in creating Tracy, then I feel very sorry for him.

Further more, Mike Talbot makes the worst decisions imaginable. In the last book he set a house on fire while he and his brother were on scene - no thought of the consequences, which were severe. It left Mike with third degree burns over most of his body. In this book (SPOILER ALERT) Mike decides that it is a good idea to amp up the machine that keeps the zombies away from his family, knowing that after a minute it will destroy the machine and it cannot be repaired. This occurs in the middle of his home being threatened by zombies. Thus he, his family and his friends are exposed to 17,000 super big and mean zombies. Yet Mike professes to love his family so much! There is absolutely no reason to amp up the machine - no benefit to anyone. Why in the world would he decide to do this besides his stupidity. The plot line of Mrs. Deneaux being so evil is a real turn off and I am sick of it. It is way over done and frustrating. The last chapter, or epilog, in Book 6 is ridiculously worthless, and boring to the extreme. It was difficult to listen without falling asleep.

There are many other issues I have with this book, but I have lost interest in writing this review as much as I have lost interest in listening to any other books in the series, or in fact, any other books authored by Mark Tufo.

Trip

Trip is an awesome character and I laughed every chapter he was in!! Sometimes so loud others look at me funny! The series is amazing and recommend it to all my friends. I started on book 13 not knowing it was that far into a series, I’m new to audio books... never really read anything to begin with but now I can’t stop and so I went and started from the beginning of the series!

claustrophobic Freak out!

Oh my goodness, without giving anything away. I was in hysterics and feeling every bit of claustrophobic panic reading this book.
You’ll love it and hate this part.
What I like about this book series is that it’s weird and different enough to keep me interested. Especially since I work nights.

No expectations and still let down

I've not been shy in stating that I have not been a fan of this series, but if you're going to start something might as well see it through. We'll in this case that was a total waste and disappointment. This had about the most boring and anti-climatic ending that wasn't even an ending. The author threw new characters and plots in just so he could keep writing these abortions called zombie books. I knew there were more but I hoped a little more of a big conclusion battle. Instead you get lose ends dipped in crap to keep a story alive that should have ended 3 books ago.

Tripper John

Great series BUT John the Tripper, although friggin hilarious, was too much! Too much everything! Too distracting, too much Donald Sutherwood!, woof woof! Thomas was a let down in the end. Tracy was great, I didn't like her, even a little, initially. BT's running sarcasm fest with Mike was really pretty accurate between two friends that were far closer than was realistic in such a short time. Intense feelings are a result of constantly intense situations. Vivian DeNough, wow! She surprised me at every turn. Loved that she was a bit## to the end. I was sure the character was going to save everyone. Epilogue was really not needed. Trying to understand and empathyze with the Queen of the Damned Dead was way beyond Vamps Lives Matter rationale. Mike Talbot! Wow! Eagle Scout of the Millennium! Mork! Avenger Endgame, featuring Mike Talbot! 'nuf said!

Best of the set!

So far I've listened too the whole fallout series. Included Demon wars and Lycon series. The story is not a stand alone. You really have to get caught up. It's worth the time.

My favorite chatacter John the tripper. Won't spoil it for you aside from this notation anyway.

Storyline and detail is really done well. Keeps you really focused. Got me laughing a couple of times. It is done really well.

A few Tactical inaccuracies and USMC inconsistencies

If you have never been hit center mass with a .308 or 7.62 round from any range while wearing individual body armor and a sapi plate, fyi, YA DONT WANNA!! I sported a solid black and purple bruise in the shape of my plate for over two weeks. I couldnt even fart without shedding a tear. To be point blank with a .308 and all it leaves is you breathless with a baseball size bruise, WRONG! Maybe with a .380 with soft ammo, but not with a round designed for what a .308 is for. Its little things like this in Mark’s work that irritates me. AANND THE CONSTANT INNER MONOLOGUING OF TALBERT! THAT DRIVES ME NUTZZZ! He could shave two or more hours off his books without all that ridiculous yammering on & on & on. It is weak writing trying use it to build suspense. A good author would use the actual story, environment, & his/her imagination to properly build suspense before action. Though I will give Tufo credit for the satisfactory completions of most of Talbert’s action scenes.

Trip is tripping

I enjoyed this book. Michael Talbut continues to make make me laugh with his off the wall comments. I loved Trip. He was hilarious. There must be a higher power looking after Michael. I thought it was in his head, but no there must be more to it. Definitely worth the read!

one better than the last

I love the series.
The story is very addictive and the dialogue is so funny, matching my kind of humor 100%
The characters have grown on me so much, I spend every free minute listening.
This had become my favorite Zombie apocalypse / dystopia topping even the Walking Dead and Wayward pines.

Another head on collision with death and destruction

Micheal Talbot the hero is kept grounded by his down to earth family and loving but emasculating wife ...parts of this book had me laughing out loud as new characters enter Talbots journey through the apocalypse of horror

Love the series but so much has changed

... And not for the best. SO SO many character and story changes that the original story is basically pointless. There are some good attempts at explaining it all but at at the exspence of making sense.

I am enjoying it but listening to these back to back has made me very aware of its weaknesses and has become frustrating

Tremendous fun

Love the story and narrator. Not sure what I can say here without spoiling the surprises. I love it.
