Publisher's Summary

Contains books one and two of Time Wars Last Forever.

Ryan Time (book 1)

There is a time for everything under the heavens. A time to kill and a time to heal. A time to love and a time to hate. But when it's a time war you're looking at, it's Ryan Time.

Jon Ryan is called back two billion years to save the Earth from an unprecedented threat. An alien clan is stealing time. It uses that time energy to power its quest to amass even more time. As the very real possibility of never having existed closes in on humanity, Jon must rally his ragtag forces to do the impossible, yet again. But how can you defeat an enemy who can cause you to never have lived?

Lost Time (book 2)

The Earth - all of her history, all of her life - never existed. The Clan, the evil time thieves of the universe, sucked the time energy out of our home world. That which never was can never again be. Obviously. Well unless, of course, there's a Jon Ryan out there!

Jon and Sapale must work with their new crew, two human academics spared humankind's foul fate, along with their captured alien time ship. But is their mission doomed to fail even before it starts? How can they resurrect something that never was? They don't even know how it can be done, or if it can be done.

loved it. good book, imaginative story, but SayPale (sp?) is an abusive spouse. I know it's a story, but imagine if John did the things she does like throwing coffee cups at him? She never misses an opportunity to insult him and call him names. Imagine the roles reversed and he would be a repulsive character. Her abuse adds nothing to the story and is very distracting. If someone treated me like this, they'd find themselves alone very quickly.

What a ride.

At the start of this book, I thought that I had made a mistake in buying, BUT it turned out to be a really fun listen. I loved the banter of the characters, the strangeness of the situations, the satirical story line. It entertained me and keep me engaged. Looking forward to the next.

Garbage

These books were garbage. completely nonsense and disconnected storyline. The author tried to make his characters too pithy, but all it did was make you feel like you completely missed the first half of the book.

Not my cup of tea.

I tried to like it. The premise was good. The story could have been good. However, the constant, endless snarky banter finally overwhelmed me. Enough already get on with the story.

Great Series!

I personally loved this series. Only reason it didn't get 5 out of 5 in the review is that the story moving along very quickly and I personally am a fan of more nitty gritty details.

I still recommend the series, the fact this was included with my membership made me really happy. and now I'm off to purchase the next book!

Happy reading!

Everyone loves a smartass in space

A great ensemble cast for having to save the world... and then figure out how to make it exist again. I appreciate my own sense of weirdo banter, even taken 10 steps further.

Great

The performance is a little bit repetitive from previous books. Other than that the book is great. Probably the best so far.

Utter madness - of the good kind.

This is just a non-stop rollercoaster of quips. I suspect it might divide opinion, but if tongue-in-cheek sci-fi is your thing, this one is definitely for you. The narrator does a fantastic job here, pitching perfectly. If you are in the mood for a light-hearted flight of hilarious nonsense, you have to give this a listen.

And I haven't even finished this book yet

Oh M y God! Having listened to all books leading up to this one i.e The Forever Series" I have a comprehensive knowledge of the perennial characters who reappear in this book and all books to come.
At this time it's 03:25 in the morning and I have induced insomnia brought about by my inability to put the book to bed and myself ditto.
Now, is there such a thing as Sci-comedy? Well if there is?There should be.
Such a moniker wouldn't even begin to describe this book; as there is way more depth to it than than that descriptor even begins to cover.
The basic concept of the book is one that has never occurred to me in my wildest dreams. At the same time the author has interwoven it with time traveling (spoiler alert) and such quick wit & repartee that I can't wait to assault my friends and enemies.....Read it... Listen to it.. What ever, just don't miss it. But just begin with the "Forever" series OK?.. Now go away I've got to get on with the book... OUTA HERE!!!

Love the series, some minor points

Love the JR verse and Scott's performance.
That said JR's rants and stubbornness are starting to show signs of dimensia. Maybe that is the plan, like AI rampancy in Halo. Maybe I am just too lay to get some of the silly angles in the story. JR verse was peak when coordinating fight against Adamant and aspects of previous story. 'No timing' things is a little hard for this reviewer to not have issues with grandfather paradoxes and other things I don't think we understand.

However, I do believe Craig is an effective story teller that I will continue to look out for. Scott's performance and range is as good as ever, potentially tipping as my favourite over RC, Will wheaton and Rosario Dawson.

I will be back for next book, no doubt

This series is getting a bit too formulaic

I really enjoyed the Forever series but this is too similar in too many ways. Too similar translates as lacking originality. The incessant sniping between the main protagonists and constant self adulation is really boring now. I could not finish this and it will be my last attempt to listen to John Ryan.

It Didn’t Grab Hold Of Me & Thrust Me Into The Story

I did enjoy the light hearted nature of the book, Narration was excellent. But the author failed to whisk me away then find myself in the story. I will continue with the series as I am curious where it all leads to. THANK YOU CRAIG ROBERTSON
