Publisher's Summary

Revisiting the past can be murder.

Private Detective Greyson Travers has a secret, but he isn’t the only one. When a stunning widow asks him to investigate the suicide of her husband, Greyson plans for an easy resolution. But a quick look into the past gets dangerous for his future. He isn’t the only one interested in the case, and the longer he’s involved, the more victims turn up dead.

Greyson can travel through time. It makes him the best sleuth in the city. But every advantage comes at a cost. Under pressure from a powerful mob kingpin and an agency governing time, his investigation will take him deep into the underworld.

The clock is ticking, and Greyson might be too late to discover the truth. Sometimes, the past is better left for dead.

If you love treacherous twists and mind-bending murder mysteries, jump into this pause-resisting thriller where time is never on your side.

Can you solve the mystery of the future?

Good and bad..

Okay! I found this a little confusing at times but I still enjoyed it. I can't even tell you what it was about but it was about time travel. So, I would recommend it to people who like time travel.

I liked Greyson Travers but I really liked his AI Waldo.

There was no romance and the F-bomb was used 6 times.

As for the narration: Stacy Carolan was just okay for me. He did a good job with the voices but he read without emotions. He never laughed or yelled or whispered or sounded grumpy, nothing except his own voice, and that's disappointing.

Beautifully Written and Performed!

This was, as expected, a great story! Nathan has a way of twisting a tale to keep you guessing until the very end! Unlike other mystery type books, once you know how it ends, all the pieces of the story totally fit together! Greyson, I hope, will get more developed in future (or past?) stories as I thoroughly enjoy reading (and re-reading) about his father, Ben. Stacy Carolan did a wonderful job acting the different parts of the story. As for the story only taking 4 hours, I can say that I would LOVE more of the story, but it fit perfectly into the space between library loans.

Note to the author:
Please tell us there will be more to this story! I read (and listen to) a lot of books but have very few authors that I can trust to give me a thrilling journey every single time. I trust you, Nathan Van Coops, to keep me entertained. Please, Sir. Can we have more?

Great time travel story

Great story, great narration. The story is set in the “In Times Like These” universe which is one of the best time travel series I’ve ever read. This is a spin-off detective story and hopefully the first of many Greyson Travers stories.

Another great story from Nathan Van Coops!

This is my first audible book and I was pleasantly surprised to find I like the audible experience!

This is not my first Nathan Van Coops book (and won't be my last, I'm sure). I love that you don't have to know about time travel to enjoy and understand the stories. The concepts are explained as part of the story.

This book is a great addition to my Nathan Van Coops library!

Love this time travel thriller

I love the call backs to Nathan Van Coops characters from In Times Like These! I am hoping for this book to turn into a series as well! The development of characters in this thriller is top of the line. If you love mysteries and time travel this is for you!

Time we'll spent

Nathan does time travel right and wonderful. The only problem is that he needs to go to his future self and copy all his future books. Then bring them back to now so we can enjoy them rather than waiting for him to write them.

Another fantastic time travel story from Mr Coops

His "anchor" theory is the most ingenious theory of how to be able to time travel and not end up in space somewhere!!!
The absolute greatest author of time travel novels EVER!!!

Was good enough to purchase the second book. Was not sure about the narrator at first. Overall much better than I expected.

Well thought out time travel whodunit!

Engaging characters. Didn't get bogged down with unnecessary "mechanics" so the story kept a lively pace.
