Too Dark and Sick for me

I really like Zombie books and love Mark Tufo’s writing but this was just too out there for me. This book from the point of view of a zombie that happened to keep some of his self-awareness is kind of disturbing. There is more blood and gore than normal and in a bit too much detail. Seriously, this book is like swimming; don’t eat a half hour before you start reading it. In addition Timothy wasn’t a good person in life so you can just imagine how that goes. Too dark and far down the rabbit hole for my tastes.

As always Sean Runnette does a wonderful job narrating.

Awesomely Sick and Twisted!!!!!

Mark Tufo's mind is like the best roller coaster in the world.......you can't wait to ride it because it's so awesome, then when it's over your still so pumped you have to get right back in line and do it again!!! I have listened to all of the Zombie Fallout books and knew I had to listen to Timothy! It was like being behind enemy lines and learning their secrets. There is no sugar coating on this one and that's what made it so good. If you aren't afraid of clowns you will be when your done reading this. I don't want to give anything away so I am going to keep this short. Keep in mind that Timothy is not your average Zombie and you might even come to like him a little bit! This is one of those books that 20 years from now will still be in the back of my mind, making me recheck the deadbolts on my door!!! Mark Tufo is such a gifted author and he has this amazing ability to make you feel like you are experiencing the same thing as his characters are. He is so genuine and is so involved with his fans that he and his wife take the time to personally thank each and everyone of us daily! I will be forever a fan and dedicated reader! Now onto Zombie Fallout 6.......It's supposed to be out today and even though I love to listen to Sean Runnette (I will buy the audible when it comes out) I have to know what happens next to the Talbot's and of course B.T.!!!

This is no Zombie Fallout

Because I have listened to a handful of the Zombie Fallout series I obviously had expectations for Timothy. Boy was I wrong! Comparing Timothy to Zombie Fallout would be the equivalent of comparing apple to oranges, or my favorite comparison I could think of The Walking Dead TV show to the Brady Bunch. You think that’s a pretty extreme differentiation, yes I pulled out the thesaurus, well I don’t. I would consider the Zombie Fallout series about as family friendly as zombie books could be. Then there is Timothy taking two things we are already afraid of, clowns and zombies, add in a completely perversely deranged womanizing giant man as Timothy and you are left with an audiobook that is not for the faint of heart. My jaw dropped, I laughed out loud, I cringed, I wanted more and then it was over. I am now more scared of becoming a zombie than I ever was because just maybe I will know what is happening when I am devouring my father.

I find it funny how at ease Sean Runnette’s voice made me when I started this audiobook. It was like seeing an old friend after years of being separated. I think what I like most about Runnette is the fact that he doesn’t have the stereotypical super deep, super polished voice over guy voice. To me his voice make me think of the everyman, imperfect, and so perfect for a narration of another Tufo audiobook. I was surprise by how with ease Runnette seemed to be with this very violent, perverted and somewhat disturbing story. I am starting to see why Runnette has narrated most if not all of Tufo’s audiobook, the two are like peanut butter and jelly, perfect for each other.

what to do while waiting for next Zombie Fallout

This was a good read, not as good a zomie fallout, but funny and entertaining in the Mark Tufo way. I am an avid zombie, supernatural genre reader and this is not one of my favs but it was worth the credit.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Timothy?

No spoilers here!, so let me just say that The way this story was written from the insane mind of a man trapped inside his body now controlled by the hungers of the Zombie he has become as if he just got into the backseat and was forced to enjoy the ride is something new to me and as grossed out as I was at moments I believe the story couldn't have been told any other way! It was the gore and the wording used that makes you almost understand how Timothy must have felt as he gulped down still warm intestines from the stomach of his still alive pleading family member all the while being unable to stop himself from enjoying every moment of it!

What does Sean Runnette bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Giving Timothy the personality he did in his reading. I can imagine some of this may have had him having to retread certain parts and think to himself "seriously..? That is completely disgusting!" but despite any of that he did a stellar job putting the needed feeling behind the character that some readers may have not been able to capture!, well done!,

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Made me wonder if in Timothy's shoes if I could have contained my sanity? What if anything I could have done differently!

The human spirits drive to survive is tested beyond anything the average sane person has ever imagined but true to form humans are survivors and what we will do to go on living is taken to new levels in this book and that's a understatement!, BEWARE IF YOU HAVE A WEAK STOMACH THINK TWICE BEFORE GOING FORWARD WITH THIS BOOK AS ITS NOT FOR THE WEAK STOMACHED,,

Mark Tufo has one hell of an imaginative mind

Would you listen to Timothy again? Why?

Yes I would. Just to fully understand some parts of the story I found disturbing.

Can I really say Timothy was my favorite character?

Yes, to just finish it.

I really dithered before buying this, I have listened to all the Zombie Fallout series and Riley books and found them all excellent. Therefore something else from Mark Tufo is of interest. Yet this books synopsis gave me a 'give it a miss' thought, yet I purchased, I listened and... I can not say I really enjoyed it as it is disturbing/different/unusual and to say so may be construed 'I am strange' (and I mean that humorously) But Mark Tufo stories voiced by Sean Runnette do not disappoint. This is a different book and yes, I will listen to Tim2 perhaps with the thought 'Dear God what am I getting into' Well done. Writing and narrating done very well. Just what a reader/listener wants.

Easily in the top 20. A great zombie book with a great ending!

When Timothy had to evacuate his bowels....ewe.

His voice is perfect for these books. I wish he had read the last zombie book I listened to.

Clowns.....why did it have to be clowns.

If you're a Zombie Fallout fan, this is a must read.

Zombies are really hygienically challenged!

This story has an yech factor of about 1000 and I am not kidding! Some of the words to described what happened after a zombie chows down really made be feel bad for Sean Runnette the narrator. But true to form, he continued on with the excellent work he did with the zombie series with the Talbots. I had the distinct impression that Mark Tufo was reliving his (and probably alot of male) youth's love of all things icky in some of the descriptions what happens following the injesting of a big meal of Mexican barritos and so on.

I really liked the Talbot series once i got into it but this story was a bit of a challenge to keep my interest and although i liked the way the story referred to Talbot series. I think its a good idea its a relatively short story; anything longer wouldn't have been worth the time.

Brutal and disturbing.

Pros: Book is well written, plot is okay, character development is excellent, narrator is great, and the Talbots make a cameo appearance.

Cons: Story is a bit disturbing, which can be a good or bad thing depending on how desensitized you are. Bashing a seven year old's face and head into a car dashboard, raping nuns, and mutilating women are elements I can do without. The character is so disturbing and brutal I felt mostly nauseas trying to get through the book. The character has no redeeming qualities and he does not apologize for that. He is a womanizer, rapist, murderer, and a psychopath.

HE HAD EXTREMELY LARGE TOES

THE FUNGUS UNDER THE TOE NAILS ADDED SOME ZESTINESS I ENJOYED.
This is one of those books where I feel I need to apologize for liking. This is not going to be for a lot of people. It is extremely gross. Not only is there a lot of gore, but also much excrement. I used to not understand why so many movie critics really liked some of the strangest movies. After reading or listening to hundreds of books a year I now understand. You get so tired of the same plot lines, twists, characters, moral issues, jokes, etc... that when something new comes along, something approached from an entirely different angle that it gets your attention. Well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I liked this because, it is approached from the point of view of the Zombie. I liked it because, it does not try to bring across any type of moral message. None of the characters are likeable, the story has no message, it just plain gross. I would not want a steady stream of this type of book and 3 and a half hours was long enough, but every now and then, yea it appeals to me.

I GUESS I COULD CALL HER A PIECE OF S@@T AND MEAN IT NOW.
