best audio book

the advice in this book has really turned around my interactions with my daughter and has enabled me to almost universally nip her tantrums in the bud. As a work-at-home parent, this translates to more happiness, greater productivity, and much, much less stress.

don't waste your credits

" If your toddler is having a tantrum in public, think happy thoughts"? Not helpful at all.

Dont bother

This author spends the beginning of this book basically lecturing you about how much of a bad parent you are if you do these things. then starts to talk about different situations that "behaviors" can come up and after all the things not to do, in a quick sentence or two makes a suggestion. waste of credit/money. book is only over an hour long and i barely got 30 minutes in.

Great reminder of ways the teach and love my boys

This book gave me great advice on how to deal with my two toddlers. It is challenging to have two boys one and two years old and still maintain a disciplined household. I hope to apply these techniques to my daily routine to create a loving and kind environment for my boys!

Practical guide for the users

I had taken many courses by different teacher's but I think this is the best between them and I love the way narrator explain every single thing of this course.

Love this book....

I have a child with anxiety and this book was recommended to us by our pediatrician. It helped us so much. It helps you gain perspective. The section about the Little Adult Assumption was particularly helpful for us. We still go back to this book for help and to refresh our skills. I have and still do highly recommend this to anyone struggling to discipline your child.

good

Even though there were some points that I disagreed with, I feel the book was helpful in centering me as a parent and giving me confidence in dealing with my spirited child MORE EFFICIENTLY during challenging moments :) This is making parenting much more pleasant and enjoyable!!

good to listen

Turned my non-listening toddler into a kid I can talk to. Remaining calm is the hardest part about toddler discipline. If you can do that and state what you mean, it creates an amazing trusting relationship.

Informative and interesting guide

Really helpful info when your kid is hitting that 2 1/2 - 3yr old boundary-pushing behavior and you feel like abandoning a gentle parenting approach, this helps you understand from their perspective and offers great advice.

Must listen to it.....

This is a must-read for any young parent or parent of a toddler. I found many books through, which I found from a colleague. As a licensed mental health professional, this respectful, communicative approach to discipline and respect for your child speaks volumes to me. It just makes sense.

Couldn't keep listening

I'm actually not sure if this book has any helpful tips as it was read/written so poorly and was hugely insulting to what would be its target audience ("bad parents") that I couldn't continue.
I'm not going to bother to return to it.
