Publisher's Summary

Jack Ryan, Jr. is the one man who can prevent a second Korean War in the latest thrilling entry in the number one New York Times best-selling series.

When the leader of North Korea is catastrophically injured, his incapacitation inadvertently triggers a “dead-man’s switch”, activating an army of sleeper agents in South Korea and precipitating a struggle for succession.

Jack Ryan, Jr. is in Seoul to interview a potential addition to the Campus. But his benign trip takes a deadly turn when a wave of violence perpetrated by North Korean operatives grips South Korea’s capital. A mysterious voice from North Korea offers Jack a way to stop the peninsula’s rush to war, but her price may be more than he can afford to pay.

This book is a THRILL A MINUTE!!!!

This is Jack Jr. at his finest. The story takes place in South Korea. Just Jack’s luck, he’s there when the leader of North Korea is injured. While in Seoul on a recruiting mission for the Campus a series of violent attacks takes place. The terrorists are plants from North Korea.
This book is very detail oriented but not overly so. Bentley gives enough technical information to keep the reader interested and feel like they are there. Especially during the helicopter scenes as Bentley used to fly an Apache helicopter. Jack joins up with a couple of Green Berets, Navy Seals and helicopter pilots all in an attempt to stop WW III in what could only be deemed a suicide mission.
This book is relevant to the times and feels like it could have been taken from the headlines today.
Although part of a series this book can be listened to as a standalone. I prefer listening in order for continuity of relationships but in these books is really is not necessary.
Scott Brick does a phenomenal job narrating. I expect no less. Scott is an amazing narrator.
This book has my VERY HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION.

Finally! Thank you Mr. Bentley!

I feel like I finally have the Ryans back! I have missed this kind of writing and story-telling so very much. I'm not going to go on and on because quite frankly, I want to listen to it again. The exchange at the end between John and Jack will be forever etched in my mind. Thank you! Clark out.

Zero Hour is Amateur Hour

If this was my first Jack Ryan book it would be the last. The reader needs to have more than a little character development, a bunch of shooting, and Jack Ryan saving the world. Most “Tom Clancy” authors know how to tell a story and build a believable set of characters. This author attempts to pull this off with about 1/3 the “Clancy” book length and fails. Others have been able to successfully right shorter Ryan stories. You can’t write a great novel using a template. The narrator, Scott Brick, is awesome as usual.

Don Bentley has done it again! He has ran with Clancy’s legacy and made it incredible! Jack Ryan jr has another adventure you simply can’t believe - I pray this never turns into a ripped from the headlines or a prophecy!

A must-have for fans of military thrillers

A possible second Korean war is a military topic I don't think has been covered before, though I could be wrong. Don and Scott make the idea work extremely well. A great cast of characters on all sides.

clancy at his best.Like a Jack Ryan movie.

Great action story. Scott Brick excellent throughout. Worth more than one credit. Don't miss it. Exciting!. I am a 77 year old lady, not fond of war stories but this held my attention till the end. great writing plausible plot and Scott Bricks acting talent as voices was excellent as usual. He is a gifted actor and knows how to narrate.
