Story
Fresh off his first mission back with the CIA, Court Gentry secures what seems like a cut-and-dried contract job: A group of expats in Paris hires him to kidnap the mistress of Syrian dictator Ahmed Azzam to get intel that could destabilize Azzam's regime. Court delivers Bianca Medina to the rebels, but his job doesn't end there. She soon reveals that she has given birth to a son, the only heir to Azzam's rule - and a potent threat to the Syrian president's powerful wife. Now, to get Bianca's cooperation, Court must bring her son out of Syria alive.

Jack is not superman but very entertaining
the Tom Clancy legacy should be kept alive by going to the cleverness of the old books and moving away from the superhero persona that Jack has become. Jack is supposed to be clever but the books are making him to infallible in brown and not in brain

These stories are getting ridiculous
The near superhuman climax reads more like Matthew Riely than Tom Clancy. I wish they'd go back to the epic plots that ended with Clancy. The ghost written stories are getting more ridiculous with each itteration. Still enjoyable, but not what it once was.

Not Tom Clancy but learning to try & get there.
The story a little disjointed but is fast paced. Any Jack or Jr. Ryan novel keeps your ears listening.
Worth trying but not the original Campus stories.

Poorer than expected
As I’m visual impaired I need to extract details from the voice and the explanation of the surrounding to visualise the story. The technical explanation is a little too much and the impossible achievements of Jack Ryan to much exaggerated. Other stories of jr. are much better. I have waited long for this audible book, but unfortunately it is disappointing.

The Jack Ryan jr story carries on, a little far fetched and maybe the the characters have had their time.
This is definitely not in the Tom clancy style.

One of the better post Tom Clancy books
Love the Jack Ryan Jr novels and enjoyed this. Scott Bricks performance is on point as always. A few more technical bits that have been missing but this had limited scope - I always imagined Tom Clancy with a big map of the world on a table and he moved the pieces round - this isn’t playing in the whole world.
Enjoyable

Dont waste your time
Worst Ryan novel yet, even allowing for the suspension of disbelieve. Most annoying is the constant recaping of the characters background every few minutes which IMO is a complete waste of time. The last few Ryan books haven't been great but this one is a new low. They shouldn't be allowed to use Tom Clancy's name on these books anymore, because they bear no resemblence to the original books.

Missed the Target.
Superb narration. Story played out more like a James Bond movie than a Tom Clancy novel. Entertaining, but really skimmed over the key traits to a Tom Clancy book, such as not focusing on spycraft or military hardware/vehicles, in favour of repetitive close combat scenarios. Characters did not feel fleshed out, more like stereotypes. Main character's motivation seems to disregard the multiple books prior in favour of an eye rolling cliche, and I get it, it's an action book but Jack Bond Jr. goes from misfortune to misfortune in the space of a week without his character growing or changing.
Would probably sit well to be adapted for streaming in the style with the Jack Ryan movies, and the John Clark movie on Amazon.

WOW!
even do not written hi Tom Clancy this was of equal brilliance in research, storyline and performance and was dripping from beginning to end. I loved it and I'm sure Tom Clancy would be extremely pleased.
some of the earlier books hi Tom Clancy will quite poorly edited with repetitions grammatical mistakes etc however, this one was not guilty of any of these things and I could not detect any grammatical errors or repeat although some of the words are the result of American English which sadly differs substantially from Real English but that aside it was a great listen.
