Not a Bad Story - Bad Narrator

Pete Ohms was not bad, just not good. What happened to Shari Peele who has done a number of Ms. Jackson's books? Maybe Pete will get better he sounded creepy in some parts and it threw the story off for me.

I usually like Brenda Jackson books especially the Westmorelands. I got through the book, but it was not easy. The story was decent, but it was hard listening to this guy. I had already pre-ordered another book before I listened to this one. Not sure I want to listen to this guy again.

The book was okay, I enjoyed the development of the characters and how the story evolved when I ignored the narrator which was not an easy thing to do. This is a pretty typical Brenda Jackson book. Family, love story, professionals and same love story ending. I am truly happy Ms. Jackson is putting more of her books on audible.

I will listen to my new book and hope for the best. If you like Brenda Jackson's style you will probably like this book. Hopefully most of you won't find the narrator as bad I did.

I loved it

If you could sum up Tonight and Forever in three words, what would they be?

Sweet, Sexy Seduction

What did you like best about this story?

I like how Justin taught Lorren the true meaning of love. After the number Lorren's ex husband put on her, I thought he would never break through to her heart. Lorren came off as this insecure damsel in distress, but in the end she toughed up and did what she had to do to get her man. I love the Madaris family, they are definately a close family. I can't wait to read about the romance of the other family members.

Which character – as performed by Pete Ohms – was your favorite?

I didn't really have any particular favorites. I was expecting Pete Ohms to be an awful reader, because of some of the reviews I read, but I can honestly say, I thought he did a good job.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Actually I did.

Any additional comments?

Brenda, I love love love your romance stories. Keep up the good work.

A Good Read!

What was this novel about:

"After her marriage ends in bitter divorce, all Lorren Jacobs wants is to leave California behind. Returning to her roots in Texas seems to be just what the doctor ordered...until she meets real-life physician Justin Madaris. Lorren has vowed never to give her heart to another man, but she can't stop herself from responding to the handsome widower's sensuous whispers of love..."

What I enjoyed from this read...

The author did a beautiful job bringing us a romantic story of two people: Lorren Jacobs and Dr. Justin Madaris who both has some baggage that each would have to overcome before things started to happening good for them mentally, physically and even emotionally. "Tonight and Forever" was truly a good story of how these two found the true love that they both needed the second time around. The novel is definitely a attention grabber that will keep you reading and even wanting more at the end.

The Narrator Ruined the Story....

I love Brenda Jackson’s books. I have read all of the Madaris novels and enjoyed them all. So for me, the narrator ruined the story. This narrator was not a good choice. He was hard to hear in most of the female dialogue and I couldn't get into the story with him. I couldn’t finish the audio book and will be returning it.

The narrator

Pete Ohms narrating is so annoying, it’s so hard at times to understand what he’s saying because he whispers, that’s the only issue I have with this book, other than that I enjoyed this story.

Provocative, exciting, romantic!

This series is just as good as the author's Westmoreland series which I read! Awesome!

Disappointed

I usually don’t write reviews but this time I felt obligated to do so. This book had the potential to be great, but the narrator performance was horrible. I am upset because I used my credit for such a poor performance by the narrator.

Not what I expected

The overall story was good, however; the narrator made this a very hard listen.
His voice just dragged on and on...I've listen to BJ's books multiple times but, I can honestly say that this will not be a repeat listen.
