It began nearly 400 years ago. The Conall clan and all their people were murdered in a surprise attack, their beloved castle and all evidence of who destroyed them burned to the ground with their bodies. In the centuries following, archaeologists searched through the ruins looking for any evidence of what or who had caused the untimely demise of such a powerful Scottish clan. All efforts were fruitless until a spell put in place by an ancient Conall ancestor finally began to work its magic.

A Great Listen
Time travel always makes a great story. Immortals dealing with people from the future is just fun, especially when they're vikings. The characters are well written with a fast paced suspenseful plot. Sword fights and magic makes it hard to turn off. So far this series have been great, I'm looking forward to the next one.

Another book by Hazel Hunter that I didn’t want to pause. I thought I loved the Silver Wood Coven series but this series is just I’m speechless I can’t think of the words to say about it. I still do love all of her other work but this series at the moment is just amazing.
This book is about Jema and Tomord but it’s also so much more, the book has you on the edge of your seat it has you biting your nails and you just wanting the narrator to hurry up just so you can find out what’s going to happen next. Not like that is even a possibility. 🤣🤣 And now I have to wait for the next instalment argh.

Whew...
First of all - a great story. I know I can count on Hazel Hunter to provide a time travel that doesn't turn the woman into a lost cause. Whatever the woman was in the current time, some of those skills come in handy in the past. Also there is always a great hero to fall for.
I'm relatively new to audio but I'm enjoying it. This has a HOT Scot doing the narration and that sure doesn't hurt. On the downside, I sometimes have to re-listen to the first chapter to get into the accent and story. This doesn't bother me at all. I just get to listen a bit longer.
Tormod and Gemma are well suited and both are likable characters. Highly recommended.

Tormod - I live listening to this book
The narrator of this book has a great voice which I believe makes this book so enjoyable to listen to.
Tormod is a Viking living with the other warriors but he has always kept to himself as he knows that he is different from everyone else.
Jema is from the present along with her brother Gavin fell through the portal.
Tormod was out searching for his sister's grave and instead he found Jema. They return back to the stronghold but keeps her hidden because she can't remember who she is. When Jema final shows herself everything just happens at once.
What about Gavin what happened to him. Just click play and listen to this book to see what happens to Jena and Gavin.

Very sexy Scotsman narrating an amazing book
I loved this book! The narrator was perfect! He’s able to pronounce all those Scottish words I couldn’t pronounce when I read it before. Hearing it through narration is great because I just pushed play and went about doing other things while listening. Instead of listening to music I listened to this, in the car, at home, at work (shhhh). Hazel Hunter picked exactly the right person to do this. His voice is smooth and his accent is super sexy! The story is great too! Gemma falls back in time with her brother and is found by Tormod. She has no memory of who she is or where she’s from. Tormod is familiar with this occurrence because of the other women who’ve come back to their time but fears telling her too much because of her fragile state. The connection between these two characters is heart warming and intriguing. Tormod is the only Viking and feels alone in spite of the brotherhood he feels towards the other immortals. Gemma has amazing gifts she’s just discovering and of course her feelings for the sexy Viking have only just begun. Tormod feels a connection to Gemma because she knows his language and reminds him of home. All the books in this series focus on one couple but you’re able to see a complete series because Hazel takes you back into the continuing story and you get to revisit the previous characters and storyline. The stories can be read as stand alone and are very satisfying but they’re SO much better read in order. Please do yourself a favor and listen to this book today, you won’t regret it and you’ll feel like you got transported to medieval Scotland because of the narrators voice.

Absolutely Enthralling!
Hazel Hunter, the creator of The Immortal Highlanders series, has once again proven herself the master of her craft. I’ve read and enjoyed all of The Highlanders books but after finishing Tormod, I can say it is the most unusual and unexpected story to date...and that's a very good thing.
Tormod is full of mystery, intrigue, drama, and powerful attraction. The pleasure is doubled many times over when not one, but two mortals fall twelve hundred years back in time. When Tormod meets Jemma, his heart is changed forever and so is hers. Their journey is met with pitfalls, prejudice, and hidden agendas. I could not put it down.
Do yourself a favor and listen to the audible copy. The "reader's voice" is perfectly matched to the story which only doubles the pleasure. The story grabbed my heart at the beginning and at times, positioned me in the panty melting state (my new favorite state!). It might be a love story, but it comes fully packed with danger and unexpected twists.
It is a masterfully written story that will stay with me forever. As usual, Hazel Hunter never disappoints...every detail is perfect. And thankfully it comes with an exhale since each story is stand-alone but segues seamlessly into all others.
Five stars and my gratitude to the author for a job very well done
