Nothing ever changes in Sanders. The town's still got a video store, for God's sake. So why doesn't Eli Teague want to leave? Touchfeather!
I want more! I loved this book. It grabbed me from the very beginning. Katy Touchfeather is definitely entertaining. The best way I could describe her is, if 007 and Stephanie Plum had a child, it might be her. It wasn't as comedic as Stephanie Plum, nor as serious as 007. She is also very fearless, almost to the point of crazy. It had humor, action, mystery, and everything in between.

1960's spy thriller
Touchfeather opens with a warning from the publisher: 'this book was written in the late 60's and the gender and sexual attitudes of the period are reflected in the story.' This is not just a book set in the 1960's, it was written then and the attitudes may be a little.... off.
Ms Touchfeather is a British spy, but primarily she is an air hostess. She is sent on missions, not to solve problems and shoot opponents, but to be arm candy and hold the attention of the targets until the real 'spies' get they information they need. She works for a variety of airlines, depending on where the mission takes her.
In this initial adventure she is sent to watch over an inventor who appears to be the target of a suspected arms dealer. She falls in love with him, only to have him kidnapped from in front of her. Going off mission, she then pursues the arms dealer, entering her into a world of danger an intrigue.
It's James Bond-esque. With a female. She is not a shrinking violet, but also not a femme fatale. The story is raunchy, but not extremely explicit. Rated M, not R.
Narration by Helen Taylor is very enjoyable. Well paced, clear, and engaging. It is varied, with easily distinguished characters. A joy to listen to.

Reminiscent of Austin Powers
This is a fun listen set in the 1960's. Typically I listen to contemporary stories, so this was a little outside my norm. I found the action to be very reminiscent of an Austin Powers story, or James Bond meeting Stephanie Plum. The book is full of some unexpected twists, sexual innuendo, and non-stop adventure. I really enjoyed the narrator with all of her various characters. I requested a review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. I will definitely listen to more books by both the author and narrator in the future as both are very talented.

Serious spy novel, not a parody
This book was a great surprise. I had no idea what to expect, and I thought at first it would be a parody of a spy novel, but it was a legitimate spy novel in its own right. Katie Touchfeather was a delightful protagonist. The story takes place in the 1960s, and it was written at that time as well. It's interesting to hear the language of the time, if a little jarring at times. Interesting how things have changed.
If you like thrillers and action books, you will love this book. The narrator was exceptional and brought the characters to life. I was provided with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I hope they unearth more books by this author.

Move over 007!
I loved this book from the very first chapter. The synergy of narrator to subject was instant and I fell into this story right away. I never wanted to leave.
The narration was easily the best I've ever heard. For me, Taylor ranks right up there with Davina Porter. Excellence on a stick!!
The story centered around a female James Bond set in the swinging 60's. The heroine, the illustrious Touchfeather, was a take-no-prisoners femme fatale of the highest order working for a British intelligence agency. Her day job as an 'air hostess' kept her cover and at night, the shenanigans began. And what shenanigans!
This was a mystery, wrapped in a thriller, inside a love story. It had light moments, it had serious moments, it had dark moments. Do yourself a favor and get to know Katie Touchfeather and her world.

This is a fun, humorous, fast paced story with a strong, witty female lead. I absolutely love it and will definitely listen to it again. It’s full of action, adventure, humor, mystery that will keep you on the edge of your seat waiting to find out what Katie Touchfeather will get herself into next! Helen Taylor’s narration is excellent. Overall, just brilliant! I received a review copy at my request and voluntarily reviewed.

Fun, fast paced thriller!
If you like strong female characters and the action of James Bond, you will love this thriller about Katie Touchfeather. Her husband was killed and once finding out the circumstances, finds herself becoming a British Spy. Posing as a stewardess or an air hostess as she is referred to, Katie is able to easily go undercover to achieve the goals she needs to as a secret agent. When she is asked to follow and see the interactions of Bill Partman, her life will forever change. Female characters that have brains, looks and skills are so much fun to listen to. Although the story is set in the 60's, it easily translates to today's standards, though times of sexual advances and innuendo are definitely a sign of the times back then. There are many characters to keep track of, each having their own role to play in this fast paced story. It's important to keep track of each, as they will return throughout and each has a decisive part in the outcome of the story. For a quick fun listen, this is definitely a good choice.
Helen Taylor gives Katie a lively and energetic voice. Her narration is well paced and each character is easily distinguishable. She gives an enjoyable performance.

Loved it! Strong female espionage thriller...
What can I say about Touchfeather by Jimmy Sangster other than I just loved it and couldn't stop listening to it. For a novel that was written back in the 60's, it's totally reminiscent of Ian Flemming and the old James Bond movies. Katy Touchfeather is a female British spy who isn't perfect, lets her feelings lead her occasionally, but is still a pretty strong, kick-butt main character. It seems anyone she falls in love with dies. Including Bill Partman, an inventor that she is sent to keep tabs on to make sure that he isn't sharing info with the bad guys. I won't give away more, but needless to say, I highly recommend this book and wish there were more Sangster novels on Audible so I could continue on with Ms. Touchfeather's adventures!
Helen Taylor did an absolutely fabulous job narrating this story and playing the role of Katy Touchfeather. Her narration brought life to the characters and, well, she just IS Katy Touchfeather. Between great writing and great narration, it was so easy to fall into this book and really listen to it and imagine it as if I was watching a movie in my head. I definitely recommend this book to others and would listen to more Sangster books if they become available on Audible. I'll also actively look for more books to listen to that have been narrated by Ms. Taylor. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher for an honest review.

James Bond, Meet Your Counterpart!
It's the swinging sixties, with the cold war raging and London setting fashions for youth from mop tops to miniskirts; James Bond, move over and meet your counterpart, Katie Touchfeather. With fabulous narration [AUDIO] courtesy of Helen Taylor who nails accents from both sides of the Atlantic, the story flies by in Cinemascope, evoking the era brilliantly.
