Good Performance, Adaptation Odd
This was mostly for listening to with my daughter who did really enjoy it overall. The reading performance was good. My daughter and I were both confused with odd choices in the adaptation. In most respects it's a true novelization with a shot for shot description of everything you see in the movie. However, some things get cut weird. The most notable and jarring is the ending. The entire ending is completely cut off for no known reason. It just suddenly ends before you get to the important part of the conclusion in the film. I would really love to know why they did that but it was a complaint from my three year old daughter so I'll relay that here.

Not the same narrator! Like a robot reading.
My children adore the toy story audible collection! They listen to it over and over. The narrator for the collection sounds a bit like woody. This narrator sounds like Siri is reading to us. My 9 year old said she hates it and my 6 year old is bored by her voice and I want to pound my head against the wall listening to this! It’s so sad. The other narrator is wonderful!

Bring on More!
We have loved the Toy Story series for years! Now my grandchildren are embracing the adorable characters. The only negative I have is that Disney didn't dramatize the audio. They own all the music, voices, and have plenty of money to dramatize them. So sad. I don't believe these editions will endure or have the multi-generational magnetism that the fully dramatized stories have had. Unfortunately, all the new Disney audios coming out are read by one reader. Lion King, Aladdin, etc. etc. I find it so disappointing that I am not going to spend my hard earned money on the other stories.
