Publisher's Summary

The 27th book in the best-selling Pure Gold Classics line, Tozer on the Holy Spirit is a follow-up to the groundbreaking Fellowship of The Burning Heart.

Best-selling author and editor James Snyder has compiled some of Tozer’s greatest works on the Holy Spirit.

During his lifetime, Tozer pastored several Christian and Missionary Alliance churches and served as editor of Alliance Life, the monthly denominational publication for the C&MA. Tozer authored more than 40 books, a tremendous accomplishment for a man who never received a formal theological education. The presence of God was his classroom. His notebooks and tools consisted of prayer, God’s Word, and the writings of early Christians and theologians-the Puritans and great men of faith.

If only & When!

AW Tozer is right on throughout this book. It is a bit overwhelming to figure out how to replace what I want in life with the Holy Spirit led life. Thus sin reigns and I fall short; thanks be to Jesus for His sacrifice. Yet, that provision of salvation is not Tozer's point. Pursuit of being filled with the Holy Spirit is all he leaves me with and unfortunately without a blueprint to achieve the goal. Highly recommend this book.

It is difficult for me to listen to effeminate male readers

No mater how anointed a writer may be, I cannot listen to men who talk and narrate like women.

Tozer packs a punch

Another deep read from Tozer. Not one to just read straight through. Rereading passages and checking the references is to be expected. It should be a fully active listen.

Outstanding

An in depth look at and intelligent observation of what it means to be a follower of Christ.

Good Book, Bad Narrator.

The material in this book is good. The narrator is not. Sounds almost mechanical, not a lot of expression. I've heard better narrators do other Tozer books.
