Publisher's Summary

Best-selling author Rick Riordan presents the finale of Kwame Mbalia's trilogy, in which Tristan Strong faces off with his archenemy, King Cotton, once and for all.

"Imagine if you combined Anansi the Spider, John Henry, and Marvel into, like, one book." (New York Times best-selling author and Newbery Medalist Kwame Alexander)

After reuniting with Ayanna, who is now in his world, Tristan travels up the Mississippi in pursuit of his archenemy, King Cotton. Along the way they encounter new haints who are dead set on preventing their progress north to Tristan's hometown of Chicago. It's going to take many Alkean friends, including the gods themselves, the black flames of the afokena gloves, and all of Tristan's inner strength to deliver justice once and for all. Shocking twists, glorious triumphs, and a cast of unforgettable characters make this series conclusion as satisfying as it is entertaining.

WOW. JUST WOW

This was such a great way to continue and finish the Tristan Strong trilogy.
This book and really the whole series, has everything. Action, comedy, great story telling, moments that make you want to just cry like a baby,( not me of course 😉, but I'm sure you will.. 😢 )
for sad moments and just so happy moments.
History and of course folklore, but just more then that in this last installment. Like being told History you were not told before. And a little bit of comedy romance 😉
But all in all just an amazing listen and can't wait to read this too my 2 daughters one day.
pick these books up you won't regret it, and if you're African American and want a great story to lift your spirits in the old tails some and get you thinking about the past and our folklore. THEN THIS IS A MUST! LOL
The Narrator Amir Abdullah did an amazing job on all three books to bring the characters to life and make you FEEL the words.
Take my word for it. pick these books up for you and or your children.
