Donald Trump and Robert Kiyosaki are both concerned. Their concern is that the rich are getting richer, but America is getting poorer. The entitlement mentality is epidemic, creating people who expect their country, employer, or family to take care of them. And like the polar ice caps, the middle class is disappearing. America is becoming a two-class society, and soon you will be either rich or poor. Trump and Kiyosaki want you to be rich.

Many Americans dream of financial freedom, but they're stuck in dead-end jobs and don't know how to get there. You don't need to be one of them. If you invested $35,000 in the stock market today, it could take 52 years for that investment to grow to $1 million. But if you invested that same amount into one single-family $140,000 rental property, it would only take 19 years. With just two rental properties, you could generate $417,000 in profit in just 10 years. Skeptical?

Publisher's Summary
President-elect Donald J. Trump lays out his professional and personal worldview in this classic work—a firsthand account of the rise of America's foremost deal-maker.
"I like thinking big. I always have. To me it's very simple: If you're going to be thinking anyway, you might as well think big." —Donald J. Trump
Here is Trump in action—how he runs his organization and how he runs his life—as he meets the people he needs to meet, chats with family and friends, clashes with enemies, and challenges conventional thinking. But even a maverick plays by rules, and Trump has formulated time-tested guidelines for success. He isolates the common elements in his greatest accomplishments; he shatters myths; he names names, spells out the zeros, and fully reveals the deal-maker's art. And throughout, Trump talks—really talks—about how he does it. Trump: The Art of the Deal is an unguarded look at the mind of a brilliant entrepreneur—the ultimate read for anyone interested in the man behind the spotlight.
Praise for Trump: The Art of the Deal
"Trump makes one believe for a moment in the American dream again." —The New York Times
"Donald Trump is a deal maker. He is a deal maker the way lions are carnivores and water is wet." —Chicago Tribune
"Fascinating . . . wholly absorbing . . . conveys Trump's larger-than-life demeanor so vibrantly that the reader's attention is instantly and fully claimed." —Boston Herald
"A chatty, generous, chutzpa-filled autobiography." —New York Post

What’s the big deal!!
When I was first coming into this book I was thinking I was going to learn about how Trump as made his fortune on this 11 key principles that you learn in the book but, instead I was in for a more full back story on Trumps life and what he has done and all the deals his was able to make. In my opinion that was just as important as the key principles of making a great deal.

A great primer in dealmaking
One great thing about this book is that it sets deals in a real context; not just academic or theoretical. And as with any good coaching, it’s up to the reader to pick up the lessons, they are not just spoon-fed.
The best part is that the Donald’s natural enthusiasm for dealmaking comes through in each chapter, which not only makes it interesting to learn from, but just an interesting read even if the reader has no intention of ever making a deal.
The narrating is done really well. Clear, easy to follow and in a manner which makes listening easy and enjoyable.

Great read
It’s s a good insight into the way the President thinks about management, he is implementing the same philosophy as President.

good yarn
but only the first chapter had any substance. the rest was his recount of a dozen or so deals.

Happy to have listened to this audio book
It was true to the title about the deals. It would be good to hear more about family life and the failures that happen, how did Donald deal with everything as well as the big deals? Maybe some direct words to the reader, like wisdom associated with the life he lived that ordinary folks can take on board.
