Publisher's Summary

Two Dragons. Dragons are said to guard treasure with their lives...

Ceric, beset with madness from the trauma of the losses he has suffered, wanders the forests of Kilton. An urgent need to stave off the hunger of his folk calls his younger brother Edwin, Lord of Kilton, to the kingdom of Mercia, and though he fulfils his mission, finds the greater prize he sought out of reach.

Four Stones now has the second son of Sidroc under its lofty roof—Yrling, come from Gotland to train under the hand of his half-brother Hrald. An unexpected visit from Raedwulf, Bailiff of Defenas, sends Hrald on a journey of vital importance to both Four Stones and to King Ælfred himself.

On Gotland, a dragon ship oars steadily for shore, its warriors ready to leap out as soon as the keel strikes the pebbled beach. Sidroc is there to meet them—the man they came looking for.

The kingdoms of Cymru, Wales, have long bedeviled that of Wessex and Mercia. Much of Welsh strength is found in their women. Passion and artfulness is manifest in two, who, driven by their own ends, impact Kilton in ways unimaginable.

Take fiery flight in Two Dragons, book nine of The Circle of Ceridwen Saga.

Disappointed

Not sure if I will continue the series. I loved the first five books. Rewriting and reviewing past books was too much and the last three ended abruptly never giving any segment closure. So disappointed with Two Dragons.

A sumptuous feast.

This leg of the journey makes me feel renewed vigor and vitality as the next generations come into their own. I couldn’t love it more and cannot wait for the continued tale to be offered me. Thank you author.

Best one yet!

I am really in love with this one. After the last two which were at times difficult to read for me because of the paths/directions fate took with my beloved characters, I really enjoyed reading this one. So happy with the reintroduction of Ceridwen's mother and I hope we see more of her one day. This series have brought me so much joy! I look forward to many more.

Two Dragons, book 9 of the Ceridwen Circle Saga

I was hooked on this saga after book one and this author is now my favorite. I have only grown more engaged after each book, and feel as though I know these characters personally. Deep descriptions of the emotions felt and vivid descriptions of the settings immerse you in a world you come to feel a part of. I have never been interested in “romance” novels but this is a cut above because it is so firmly rooted in historical facts though fiction. Strongly recommend.

So So So So GOOD!

I don’t think a word has been invented that describes how good this volume of the saga is. Octavia simply cannot leave it here! There MUST be a 10th book in the works. It’s not a cliffhanger but I have a need to know what happens next! I love these stories. Octavia delicately and skillfully weaves the common strands through time like a ribbon. In this installment, we get to visit at length with favorite and beloved characters and even get to meet a few new ones.

I was on my toes in certain parts, fearing what may happen, but compelled by my curiosity just the same. 🫣

Fans of this saga won’t need to be persuaded to continue with it. If you’re just discovering it, start at the very beginning for it is indeed a saga. One of the finest. Octavia Randolph is a treasure who deserves much more credit than she gets. Nano Nagle has narrated the entire series to perfection. What a gift these two bring to the world. Thank you.

Beautiful continuation of the saga

Octavia Randolph has written a wonderful continuation of the saga in Book Nine. I appreciated enormously how she involved most of the past characters in the books. Two Dragons takes us to Kilton, Lindesse, Oundle, Gotland and then fully circles back to Wales where it all began. The author introduces three new women, Pega, Mealla, and Dwynwen. The story keeps you wondering what paths they will eventually take. I feel they are all very important. The narrator, Nano Nagle, has a beautiful voice that only adds to the richness of the story. There are many times in the reading, however, where the spoken words differ from the written words. This made me wonder if she was reading from a version of the book that wasn't final. It didn't detract from the story, just a small glitch that you wouldn't know about if you were only listening.

Loved it, absolutely met all expectations

As a devoted follower of Octavia Randolph’s Saga series, I knew to expect the best in narrative drama & dedication to storyline, character & plot. The book is narrated with great feeling by Nano Nagle, who infuses every word with just the right degree of theatricality and manages to differentiate the characters vocally with verve and aplomb. Bravo to both author and narrator.

Enjoyable ride

I have just finished Two dragons, the latest in the Circle of Ceridwen Saga. On the one hand I was disappointed at the brevity of Ceridwen and Sidroc's appearances in this book. On the other hand It was satisfying to follow the journeys of Elfwyn, Cerich, Edwin and Hrald - the book had the feel of a bridging novel as Elfwyn moved from a life of sacrifice for others to one of personal fulfilment, Cerich & Hrald processed their grief in very different ways and Edwin began to realise that enormous wealth does not guarantee everything you want. Therefore there is the promise of more to come. Nano Nagle has matured as a narrator and has managed in this book to bring the story to the reader in such a way that the story is foremost. Highly recommended and I very much look forward to the next book which is clearly on the way!

The Saga continues

A wonderful continuation of this multigenerational story. So much healing and hope but also hints of more drama to come.
Wonderfully narrated again by Nano Nagle, the voice of the Saga.
Octavia Randolph draws us on, cleverly leaving us fulfilled but longing for more.
