Publisher's Summary

I'm getting a little tired of completing my goals, only to have the bar raised too substantially for me to transition at a productive pace. I started off as a sad little ghost with an impossible crush on four really hot, Gothic guys with some attitude problems. Now I'm the Apocalypse, they're the Four Horsemen, and Lucifer is my f--ked-up daddy. Now my additional goals look like this.

Goal #9: Make a deal with the Devil without getting cheated, manipulated, or tricked.

Goal #10: Make my boys love me and take over the world...okay...so maybe just that first part. That second part sounds like it could take too much ambition, and I just don't have the drive for that.

Goal #11: Make cookies.

Goal #12: Call dibs on my favorite color.

Goal #13: Find out if my siblings or my father killed me and my boys...

Contains mature themes.

good books, should only be one though

the books are fun and creative. very frustrating that they broke one book up into 3 with cliff hangers. feel ripped off.

Difficult...

I was really into the first 2 books, but this one just become SOOO confusing and hard to follow with all the "blanace" talk. I feel like I'm a pretty educated person, but I could not keep up with all the directions this book went in. Past, present, balances? Sad that It got to complicated that I had no urge to finish the book or read the last in the series....

Loved It

This book is hilarious and confusing at times but still enjoyed it. Confusing because I was lost at times about the whole balancing thing. Have no idea if it’s supposed to make sense, I didn’t care, the book was just entertaining, lol. Now I am not making sense either, lol. Love anything narrated by Hollie Jackson.

Two Kingdoms was too dull

You know the final scene in The Devil’s Advocate, when the devil negotiates and pontificates and then the whole cycle starts over again? Book 3 is like an endless loop of that scene, but with a whole lot more characters to make things even more convoluted. Here, the devil has a huge extended family and his sons, daughters and brothers all talk way too much. Book 3 is mostly blah blah talking about the balance between angels and demons, blah blah philosophizing about destiny, and blah blah reasons for fake outs, backstabbing, and memory loss. 😴 💤

Because of the tedium, I was annoyed rather than entertained by the “you’re my favorite” schtick or “clearly, someone forgot to tell them I’m THE Apocalypse” schtick. The popcorn p😜rn, the quippy humor, and the magical world building are all in short supply. Also, after book 1’s introduction,
and book 2’s reveal of each horseman’s unique traits, it feels like the horsemen are cookie cutter
(or maybe cardboard) cutouts… just four background characters who don’t do much.

Honestly, I feel like I could have skipped this book and lost nothing in the story arc.
Book 4 gets back to the fun, even if it’s still confusing, and it closed out the series well enough
that I’ll listen to books 1,2, & 4 again.

Holy moly!

I have already ready this entire series and love it. I knew what was coming. But Hollie Jackson’s performance was so amazing that I literally found myself in tears at points in this book. This really is an excellent production!

Too many words without substance

Disappointing.
I slogged through book 1 of the series understanding that it takes a lot of words to create a universe. Skipped book 2 bc reviews complained about lack of forward movement and cliff hanger. Bought book 3 with the hope that the story would have gained traction, but was disappointed. So many words and circular conversations with the devil, siblings, and angels that really did nothing for advancing the plot.
Some actual romance and sex among the MCs might have helped entertain.
I don't care enough to listen to book 4, even though I already bought it.

So funny

As Paca finds out more about her previous life and what is in store for her in this life she feigns indifference but her guys are not fooled one bit . Paca comes out with the most hilarious things that make her guys cringe especially Jude who tries his hardest not to be affected but we all know he thinks she’s funny .

Brilliant story, told beautifully.

Honestly it just gets better and better. apocalypse and her horsemen are battling everything thrown at them topside, hellside and in purgatory. narrated ever so fantastically, it just makes you laugh out loud at authors words and dramatisation by the narrator.

More !!!

Paca still doesn't have her memories but she does find out more how & why she lost them & how she & her boys fit into the bigger picture. I like where the story is going but getting annoyed the four horsemen are still being so stand offish to Paca. 3 books in & they are still keeping her at arms length. Can't wait for book 4 to see how it all ends.
