Story
Growing up, I was taught that getting too close to someone would be my downfall. But I’ve proven that wrong now that I’m happily married to Jackson, the greatest man in the world. The issue is that mayhem always seems to find me (which is definitely not my fault), and this time, it comes in the form of a woman looking for her daughter.

Story
Why his boss at Torus Intercession chose him to figure out who may, or may not, be trying to kill Benjamin Grace, is beyond Shaw James. Protecting a paranormal investigator from whoever—or whatever—may be trying to kill him is completely out of Shaw's wheelhouse, and how is he supposed to help find an attacker when the guy he's sent to protect maintains that the threat is ghostly in origin? It's insane, and Shaw does not do insane. Benjamin Grace is going to be a problem. But Benji is nothing at all like Shaw imagined he'd be, and the fixer is spellbound from their first meeting.

Story
Tommy Wilkins has always loved Christmas. Not just because he loves to dress up as a very naughty elf, but because it seemed as if Christmas was the time of year when everyone was happy and went out of their way to make others happy. So with that thought in mind, Tommy sets out to make this Christmas the best Christmas that the Tate pack has ever had. But it seems as if one thing after another goes wrong.

Story
Though I was born with the ability to see the dead, I struggled with it until my brother was killed and his ghost was left behind. Now, I’m determined to figure out who is responsible for his death…the problem is that Detective Maddox Booker, the one working the case, is a grumpy and stubborn man who wants nothing to do with me and definitely doesn’t believe in ghosts. It doesn’t help that I keep finding myself looking ridiculous in front of the detective, thanks to interfering ghosts who enjoy laughing at my expense.

Story
When I gave up life as a hitman, I thought everything was going to be better. I was going to become a PI, help people, and live normally…and then I met Jeremy, the most perfect man to have ever saved my life (I mean, he might be the only one who has saved my life, but he’s still the best at it). From that point on, it was all over for me - I knew we were meant to be. The issue is that he doesn’t…quite seem to realize that. But when he’s targeted by criminals (literally, someone just shot at his head), he needs to rely on someone, so why not me?

Publisher's Summary
Howell Lourge Marshall wasn't afraid of anything. He wasn't afraid of having a mate, he wasn't afraid of having kids and he especially wasn't afraid of falling in love. He just chose not to have those things.
Michael Prosace has already lost his pack and most of his family because he chose to live his life as a proud, though deaf, gay man who is also transgender. He is almost completely satisfied with his life, so when he finally meets his mate Howell, he just knows that his life was finally going to be complete.
But Howell is from the Tate pack and trouble seems to follow these shape-shifting cowboys around. Before Howell and Michael will be able to explore their deep feelings for each other and a connection that goes back further than they expected, the two men will have to deal with danger, bigotry, murder, and six unexpected additions to their very unconventional family.

A very pleasant listen
Would you listen to Unassumed (Tate Pack) again? Why?
I have already listened to this audiobook several times. It flows nicely and the continuity with the other Tate pack books makes it a nice follow through in the lives of these characters. I just listened to the entire series again over the past few days and truly enjoy the characters.
What did you like best about this story?
Character development and the flow of the story were my personal favorites. There are several very hot sex scenes, but after the first couple of listens I tend to fast forward over those.
Which character – as performed by Sean Crisden – was your favorite?
Howl's grandmother was my favorite. The vivid description and then the peyote reference remind me of my own grandmother.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I always laugh and cry at emotional stories, it doesn't take much.
