Publisher's Summary

What if Wonderland was in peril and Alice was very, very late?

Alice is different than other 18-year-old ladies in Kexford, which is perfectly fine with her. She’d rather spend golden afternoons with her trusty camera or in her aunt Vivian’s lively salon, ignoring her sister’s wishes that she stop all that “nonsense” and become a “respectable” member of society. Alice is happy to meander to Miss. Yao’s teashop or to visit the children playing in the Square. She’s also interested in learning more about the young lawyer she met there, but just because she’s curious, of course, not because he was sweet and charming.

But when Alice develops photographs she has recently taken about town, familiar faces of old suddenly appear in the place of her actual subjects - the Queen of Hearts, the Mad Hatter, the Caterpillar. There’s something eerily off about them, even for Wonderland creatures. And as Alice develops a self-portrait, she finds the most disturbing image of all - a badly injured dark-haired girl asking for Alice’s help. Mary Ann.

Returning to the place of nonsense from her childhood, Alice finds herself on a mission to stop the Queen of Hearts’ tyrannical rule and to find her place in both worlds. But will she able to do so...before the End of Time?

Amazing

Beautifully written. It seems by random selection the Twisted Tale I pick seems to be even better than the previous. For me this was the best one so far. I love the original Alice in Wonderland novel so this is a good sequel to the book and film. I loved every minute of it.

LOVE IT!!

Alice is second favorite fairytale. I love this book. It's so well written. I honestly didn't think this book would be that good, so glad i was so wrong. I can't wait to read the rest of these Twisted Tales. I think it's great the way Alice found Wonderland.

Takes a While...

Talk about a slow burn...this one takes a while to get cooking. The narrator is fine, but the story itself is just too long. Some themes are hammered over and over until it almost gets annoying. Alice is...I don't even know what she is but she doesn't stop getting on my nerves until about mid-story...6 whole hours in. I kept listening because I was thinking that there has to be a point somewhere. My favorite characters were the new ones.

Fantastic All Around

Reader did a fantastic job of coming up with different voices and accents for so many different characters! Truly impressed!

Story is very "Alice" and goes very well with Lewis Carrol's original. I loved it!
Can't wait to check out the rest of the Twisted Tales!

Fantastic

Great take on the story, loved the originality while keeping to the original theme and context. I wasn't sure how it was going to end and I liked that. Well written and done!

I didn’t like it

I don’t know why but I didn’t like this book. It was just boring and confusing for me. I usually love the twisted tales
