Publisher's Summary

Have you ever wondered what it would really be like to have the ability to influence others?

Imagine having the power to read a person correctly, understand his/her personality, and use that information to influence the person. From the moment you open your eyes in the morning until you fall asleep in the evening, you are exposed to an infinite stream of persuasions and manipulations.

Sometimes, you cannot prevent yourself from being influenced and, in turn, influencing other people as you go through life. We are convinced that it is impossible to predict what the other person is thinking, but here is the good news: It is possible to read and understand the personality of a person even before you talk to them!

There is always someone who wants to teach you something. Therefore, over the years, I have identified several ways of doing this. As a life coach and researcher specializing in personal development, I have engaged with a lot of people from different walks of life. The tips, techniques, and skills shared in this book are the most effective techniques for building effective conversations and manipulating relationships. However, it takes time and practice to be able to apply them correctly. On the brighter side, once you learn them, it becomes very easy to detect and protect yourself from toxic and abusive people.

By listening to the book, you will be able to learn about:

  • What are the different types of communication techniques available to you that you can match to different situations that you come across in everyday situations, be it in your personal life, workplace, social settings, or business scenarios
  • How you can go about improving your listening skills in a simple and step-wise manner
  • What are practical, proven tips developed over time and in varied scenarios to achieve the skill of active listening
  • How to improve your listening skills even further by developing the skill of active listening
  • How to build highly successful, unique, individualized relationships
  • How to incorporate these skills into your daily routines

Don't wait any longer! Get the audiobook to find out more about different types of personalities, toxic people, manipulators, and effective boundary setting, and discover this secret world.

I have to listen to lately,

This is not your usual learning how to make a conversation audiobook. The author explains simply and is very encouraging. I now have a better understanding of conversational skills and am putting to use what I learned here. My only complaint is that this audiobook, as well as many others I have to listen to lately, needs better proof of listening! Years ago you never saw mistakes in an audiobook. Now I find mistakes all the time. What's going on?

I listen to the audiobook and thought.

I listen to the audiobook and thought it was very methodical. It has activities in it to do with your children. My 10-ur-old son is in the middle of listening and has asked me to do some of the activities with him. He has been very good at socializing lately.

This is a great audiobook full of examples and ideas and scenarios for how to have super ninja social skills and figure things out, from making and keeping friends, navigating school, to manners, and tricky social pressures. Great for elementary school.

My wife got this for me expecting.

My wife got this for me expecting I would learn something. She didn’t think that yelling random things at strangers, farting on people and licking doorknobs. Well, I was doing these activities in public and I think it has helped.

I love how simple yet complex these activities.

I love how simple yet complex these activities are. They are very thought-provoking even for those of us with good social skills. This is an audiobook that can be worked through at your own pace and one that you may go back through a few times.

I love how simple yet complex these activities.

This audiobook doesn't just touch the surface on why you should learn social skills, it also goes into HOW to actually do it. And do it in an honest and great way for both you and the person you're trying to connect with.

what’s with all the “victim” reference??

i will give this more time, i’m only about 2-3 chapters in.
so far, i think the consistent reference to “manipulation” and “your victim” is just odd. i had the impression this would be beneficial for general listening skills, communication, and being understood. It has a tone from the start that sounds more sinister and, well, manipulative! I shouldn’t have to feel like i’m playing head games or being an evil genius if i want to get my boyfriend to do house chores more easily, or ask for a long overdue raise, right?? also makes me skeptical that reviews are sparse online, and the posted reviews are all glowing, yet worded poorly- as if badly translated or robotic. hmmm. also it’s quite boring with the repetition of obvious manipulation techniques. like, ask your parents for something while you’re doing chores! cry in public to make others feel bad for you! dress attractive to remind your spouse you are special?!?! weird book.
