Narrator ruins it completely

I have no idea if the stories are good or not. I could not get past the imbecilic way the narrator handled this reading. This was like nails down a chalkboard. No...that I could withstand.

Not very good

There are 4 books in this but only a few stories were worth listening to. The performer wasn't very good.

Narrator is trying too hard.

Some of the stories may be interesting, if the narrator wasn't trying to make everything sound spooky. His emphasis in certain sentences is laughable. Why does the inflection on the mysterious figures also need to be applied to who bout a sanitorium? It's not scary to hear a university bought a building. It's spooky hearing about figures and apparitions without the forced emphasis.

Could not stay engaged

I struggled to keep up with the stories. I guess I'm so used to youtube podcasts that this isn't as interesting.
