Publisher's Summary

Most of us have heard a ghost story in our lifetime, but have you ever really asked yourself what it would mean if these stories were true? It would prove that there was life after death, that we continue on in some way after we are gone and that there is another dimension besides our own.

People are fascinated with the paranormal and simply want to see something for themselves. Others feel compassion for these spirits and are convinced that the only reason they are still on the planet is because they are not at rest....

Come with me as we travel around the world, examining supernatural events and unsolved mysteries. Listen to stories about horrifying creatures and entities inside walls, as well as demons from hell and unseen monsters. I want to share with you the creepy stories of the damned. The stories are stranger than fiction and have also survived the test of time. Some of these stories remain unsolved, while others have been all but forgotten.

Each of the stories in this book are completely true events that happened to everyday people. This book is will prove to you that hauntings have been alive and well throughout the ages, and there are some creatures in times past that are far more terrifying than anything you can find on YouTube today.

Here is a preview of what you'll hear:

  • Unexplained phenomena: The haunting of the Fox sisters
  • Unexplained phenomena: The crawlspace creature
  • Unexplained phenomena: The devil’s lover
  • Unexplained phenomena: Encounter with an incubus
  • Unexplained phenomena: The owner’s curse
  • Unexplained phenomena: The witches execution
  • Much, much more!

Very Disappointed

The overall “stories” where just that, stories taken from other sites or books. They were compiled and read by one of the worst voices that I have encountered during my time with Audible. Pass this one by folks.

Electronic Voice

Either the narrator is a very good computer simulation of a voice of a very bad narrator. The monotonous, unemotional droning of his voice throughout the first chapters at least, was annoying and made even good stories dull. You know how an electronic voice applies accents and emphasis always the same way, sometimes erroneously and to the extent that it almost changes the meaning? That's how listening to this was.

Wanted to, but just couldn't

The stories are good because they're true and can be researched, but the narration might be the worst I've ever heard. it sounds like a automated robocall with zero alteration of tone or inflection. It's a shame.

woefully misinformed

The author seems to enjoy exaggerating fantasy into real events so as to destroy the integrity of the factual account. The book is woefully wrong to the point of pure fiction. Many of the stories have been around for decades and I have heard them in their original as a young man. I further spent 35 years investigating the paranormal and can easily pick out when a researcher has not gotten out of the chair to go find the facts.

not compelling

I was not that riveted by the stories. Many seemed weak and not convincing. I was hoping for more in depth stories.

Just started I already know it’s going to be great

I’m not only a true believer I’ve experienced paranormal activity myself. I was Terrified as a child I’m still afraid the dark to this day, as Frightening as It was for a child to experience I’d give anything to be able to Communicate with the after life again. I love finding True believers hearing their stories. Maybe I’ll find someone to tell mine one day. I personally know there life after death for some I refuse to believe we are alone in this vast universe.

for the price it was worth it.

the speaker speaks it in so much monotone voice so it can drone on. what's the stories were entertaining and are based on actual accounts. I know this because I recognize at least two of the stories the names and haven't changed

Tedious in the extreme.

Sent the book back, found it impossible to take seriously. Mundane and child like.
I shall make a point of trying to follow and use reviews to avoid tosh like this in future

Couldn't listen for more than 5 minutes. Awful.

I'm not sure if this is a mistake but the Narrator is alledgedly a "Lynn Roberts". However, the audio book sounds exactly like it's just been fed through a text-to-speech program and is being delivered by a male but robotic voice. And in a unchanging tone seems to read the whole book. It's utterly unlistenable to-able!

This is nothing new. Rehashed Work of Others

All stories are picked off internet and flourished here and there with embellished work of Author for his word count. Some stories are so cringeworthy in his ignorance of history and the countries stories set in. All I can say is that research is vital in becoming a writer of some standing. And that the internet is not the be all and end all in finding stories and their history. Interviewing people helps greatly. Thumbs down.

poor narration

the stories are really interesting, and too short. the worst part is the narrator, keeps pausing. like he is reading straight from the book, there is no emotion or interest in his voice.
