Publisher's Summary

Living with humans is messy. Our children make messes. Our spouses and friends make messes. So do our coworkers, bosses, pastors, and presidents...and so do we. Messes are scary, painful, and offensive. And whether we're dealing with the pain of a personal failure, the frustration of a disrespectful child, the devastation of a major betrayal, the stress of a workplace conflict, or the fallout of larger social injustices, classically we react the same way - with fear, shame, and punishment.

These reactions are understandable...but they don't do anything to fix the problem. In fact, they only perpetuate a culture of fear, unforgiveness, retribution, and disconnection. Jesus came to show us a better way to respond to human messes - the way of repentance, reconciliation, and restoration. This way removes fear, shame, and punishment from people's lives, empowers them to deal with the root of their problems, and equips them to build a new lifestyle of walking in the light and protecting connection with God, themselves, and others.

Unpunishable is a road map for walking out repentance, reconciliation, and restoration in our own lives, leading others in this journey, and creating punishment-free cultures of love in our lives, relationships, families, churches, and organizations.

Loved this book

This is a good and hard message to hear. I did not see proper restoration and reconciliation growing up. I knew God was different than many things I saw but was unable to see past my own fear and feelings to understand that punishment is not from God. It is also very hard for me to face the fact that I am responsible to restore and seek connection in relationships. I have spent many years building my walls and now I see I actually built my own prison. Far away from the connection, love, and restoration I have needed.

Great book, poor editing.

First off, this is one of my favorite Christian books that I own.
with that said,

1. the forward is not there
2. the chapter's are not labeled except the first one
3. and the audio is poorly edited. For example, I could here people in the background of Danny speaking, like they were helping him pronounce a word correctly. And I could often tell when they took a break and picked it back up because it was often jarring.
4. and to be honest, after going through the book, I felt like a pdf with some visual aids would have been very helpful. (I know this is the audio book lol but if you go through the book you will understand what I mean.)

That stuff is all computer/editing problems. the actual content itself is life changing and extremely well laid out. I will definitely be listening to this one again despite my negative observations. I would recommend this to anyone especially if you are a parent or in any form of leadership or are under any form of leadership. it's so good.

revolutionary book

I loved the book. Danny has very sound teaching and I had many revelations of the difference between the old and new covenants through this book. I consider Danny one of my mentors even though I don't know him personally. he has helped my spirituality immensely, so I am glad to have him as the narrator. there were some quality control issues with the audio and it was slightly upsetting but not enough to take off a star. I also bought the hard copy of the book to go over content again.

Incredible book.

This book delivers the true meaning of the word repentance and it was no less that life changing for me. One of the best books I've read in a long time.

Strong and powerful

This book was captivating from beginning to the end. I was captivated by the soft spoken and easy to listen to narrator. Danny Silk has a calming quality to his voice that makes such difficult material more palatable, I found myself so caught up in the teachings and stories that I lost track of time. The "good news" hasn't been this good since the New Testament. Thank you KYLO crew and staff for all your hard work, and thank you Danny for pushing through the resistance, persevering, and kicking the devil in the balls with this master piece. Feeling challenged in my own life to trust God with my sin and live in truth no what is costs me. Cheers

SO GREAT!!

This is one of the best books I have ever read, I love his book, Loving Your Kids on Purpose, and this book was equally full of gospel revelations and hard truths that change your belief paradigm, in an amazing way.

So grateful God led me to this book at this moment!
