In The Happiness Track, Emma Seppala, the science director of the Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education at Stanford University, explains that our inability to achieve sustainable fulfillment is tied to common but outdated notions about success. We are taught that getting ahead means doing everything that's thrown at us (and then some) with razor-sharp focus and iron discipline; that success depends on our drive and talents.

Current child-rearing techniques seek to develop children who are confident, self-assured, and unafraid to speak their minds-lions instead of lambs. Although largely positive, this shift has brought with it some very serious problems in our children's behavior. Without going back to an authoritarian model, Joe Newman has developed new ways of helping children develop the ability to self-regulate without undermining their confidence, and individuality.

Money - investing, personal finance, and business decisions - is typically taught as a math-based field, where data and formulas tell us exactly what to do. But in the real world people don’t make financial decisions on a spreadsheet. They make them at the dinner table, or in a meeting room, where personal history, your own unique view of the world, ego, pride, marketing, and odd incentives are scrambled together. In The Psychology of Money, award-winning author Morgan Housel shares 19 short stories exploring the strange ways people think about money.

Awareness awakens you to the truth that you possess everything you need right now to be happy and fulfilled. Happiness is your natural state. You don't need to do anything to acquire it; you only need to drop something. This audiobook shows you what that is. There is not a single person who ever gave time to being aware who’s quality of life didn't change. You see life differently because you are different. You respond to people and situations differently. You see things you have never seen before. Beautiful things. You're much more energetic, much more alive.

Meet a genuine American folk hero cut from the homespun cloth of America's heartland: Sam Walton, who parlayed a single dime store in a hardscrabble cotton town into Wal-Mart, the largest retailer in the world. The undisputed merchant king of the late 20th century, Sam never lost the common touch. Here, finally, inimitable words. Genuinely modest, but always sure of his ambitions and achievements. Sam shares his thinking in a candid, straight-from-the-shoulder style. In a story rich with anecdotes and the "rules of the road" of both Main Street and Wall Street, Sam Walton chronicles the inspiration, heart, and optimism that propelled him to lasso the American Dream.

When Ada Calhoun found herself in the throes of a midlife crisis, she thought that she had no right to complain. She was married with children and a good career. So why did she feel miserable? And why did it seem that other Generation X women were miserable, too? Calhoun decided to find some answers. She looked into housing costs, HR trends, credit card debt averages, and divorce data. At every turn, she saw a pattern: sandwiched between the Boomers and Millennials, Gen X women were facing new problems as they entered middle age, problems that were being largely overlooked.

We live in an extraordinary time. Technological advances are happening at a rate faster than our ability to understand them, and in a world that moves faster than we can imagine, we cannot afford to stand still. These advances bring efficiency and abundance - and they are profoundly deflationary. Our economic systems were built for a pre-technology era when labor and capital were inextricably linked - an era that counted on growth and inflation and an era where we made money from inefficiency.

Comprehensive manual for how to escape fatique
Wish I had this available earlier, I would have arrived where I am at much sooner. As a molecular biologist, literature research comes relatively easy to me, so once I restored my eye sight I arrived at many of the same supplements and devices. Love how MCT oil and intermittent fasting takes away carb cravings. Love how easy the muse device makes meditation. Love my Dreem device to track deep sleep. But it took me a longer while to assemble all the pieces of the puzzle. The information is all out there, but typically focuses on a particular aspect or symptom or a particular solution. This book gives you a whole quiver of arrows, and a good idea which to shoot first, and what to follow up with. I had not come across the touchpoint device, sounds very interesting. The reminder on vitamin D was great, had stopped taking it end of summer, re-introduced and got an immediate boost. I was just starting to experiment with amino acids, had good results with citrulline. My deep sleep is very caffeine sensitive yet caffeine really gives me drive throughout the day, so I tried out L-theanine: immediate improvement, love it! I had my target locked on getting part of my health back ... now I won't set the bar so low. Working on being unstoppable now :)

I hate these types of books, but I keep trying because everyone in my professional world recommends these things. I can't stand the thought of reading another book with someone travelling the world and making a bazillion dollars talking about how unhappy and unfulfilled they are....I just can't. 'Biohack.' Omg. This book changed my life in 2 days!
If i could give this book 6 stars I would. I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) 6/19 and have been struggling with brain fog and fatigue since is started treatments. I was just about to give up on life until I read this book. I took Ben Angels advice as far as supplements and within 2 days I had my life back. This book is a must read if you are experiencing health issues or can’t seem to be able to focus and accomplish goals. I went from guardian mode to a catalyst in 2 days!
Thank you Ben Angel for doing this research and sharing it with the world.

This is a long and boring advertisement for Dave Aspreys bulletproof products. Nothing original here.
You don’t need to pay for this or listen to this book. Listen to Asprey‘s free podcast or read his website directly if you must. I suspect he is behind this and getting a cut of the profits anyway.
You can certainly do better than spending time or money here.

Some very good ideas
The book outlined some very good steps you need to take and the method in which you need to develop your plan to become unstoppable. I liked the holistic approach and bringing new systems e.g. wearables as an additional game changer to becoming unstoppable.
What I did not like. The story Contained multiple repetitive fast paced phrases I feel given to try and increase the validity of what was being said. One in reality it was just fillers and really meant nothing to the discerning reader. Systematic plug-in of products where it was clear there was a conflict of interest I feel undermined the reliability and authenticity of the outcomes. The whole book is premised on the background of the author being in dire situation, personally (physically and psychologically), career, and financially. Giving the dramatic effects that everything goes on the line and if it was not for these things that would’ve been disaster. By the end of the book the dialogue showed elements I felt undermined the timeline of his physical and mental health journey, compromising the authenticity of his story and I felt impacted on the believability how he became unstoppable. I do not want to undermine his personal experiences but I was left with the impression that this whole backstory was a good marketing strategy.
of complete ruin showed contradictions by the end of the book where I feel the story had an element of intended fabrication and structured methodology of sign work.

This changed my life
This book changed the way I think about my health, physically, emotionally and mentally.
I have since purchased the follow up book and now explore the amazing world of bio hacking with similar authors.
I encourage everyone who takes their health seriously to read this book as their introduction to what is possible when looking outside the norm.

Watch the constant sales pitches
I would have given it more but don't get this on ebook - buy the book because the plan is included in the book but you can't access it with the audio book. also they mention resources being available on the website- they're not- you have to pay more money to join the programme so it feels as though you're being sold to.

It was a bit of an eye opener
There is some very helpful information in this book. It is much better than other self help books. There was some 'wankiness' in there which the author needs to sell books, overall I enjoyed the book and took a lot away from it :-)

Profound, practical & easily implemented advice.
This is an intriguing book that tackles some fundamental diet & nutrition oversights of Western culture that are likely impacting most busy people in some way. The writing style is very clear, & key concepts are communicated very effectively. If you have felt fatigued & without the energy levels you once had, Ben’s approach will give you the tools you need to experience changes in just a couple of weeks.
