NATIONAL BESTSELLER

Latin Grammy Award–winning singer-songwriter and author of the New York Times bestseller Forgiveness returns with a new memoir that shares the triumphs, hardships, and lessons of life after her mother’s, Jenni Rivera, death.

Bringing her signature warmth, humor, and positivity, Chiquis Rivera picks up where her memoir Forgiveness left off.

Reeling from her mother’s tragic death, Chiquis finds herself at a major crossroads. As a new parent to her younger brother and sister, she struggles to balance her family’s needs with her dreams of becoming a successful singer and entrepreneur.

Stepping out of the shadow of her mother’s legendary career and finding her own identity as a singer is challenging…but navigating unhealthy relationships proves to be even harder.

When she meets and marries the person she believes is the man of her dreams, it seems like life is finally falling into place. But a dark secret unravels their relationship, and Chiquis emerges stronger as a single woman.

In the end, nothing can keep Chiquis down. Her life philosophy says it all: “Either I thrive or I learn.” Filled with life-affirming revelations, Chiquis ultimately shares her greatest gift with her fans—the accessible lessons that have made her unstoppable.

Heartfelt and emotional

I related in so many levels to this book.
She is honest and puts her life out there.
As women we go through so much and not many understand.
This book is full with emotional and heartfelt moments and thoughts. At the end it is a reminder that we are all human and in the same struggle of being better and doing better.
Thank you for sharing your good and bad.
The reader was great , very clear when reading.
Not once did she put me sleep as others.

Chiquis is a fierce Boss Bee who shares her truth

Chiquis did not disappoint with this book. It is very evident that she has worked so hard to become who she is today. She is deserving of it all. I love her honesty and truth with all her books. Just as Jenni was and instilled in her children, they have never shown that fame has gone to their heads and above anyone, they are human. Their love to carry on her legacy by sharing themselves with fans is beautiful. Continue to do you and continue to shatter those glass ceilings! You are beautiful inside and out! You voice is amazing! I hope you will one day do an English Album.

The last chapters are where it’s at

I could get that it’s a contractual issue but I really do not get why this woman does not record her own books! Anyway… the story starts out with a lot of recaps from the reality show The Riveras and things she’s already shared in interviews, her podcast and her other book. It’s a point where it gets a bit repetitive, she goes on and on on how she raised her moms kids and they’re like her kids too. Again, things she has already shared. It’s towards the middle of the book where the story really starts shaping and making sense. Towards the end she really goes all in and says why things are the way the are, why she does not have a relationship with family members and how it all went down with Lorenzo. It took a while but the end was both shocking and good
