Publisher's Summary

How did Lev Calder move from an unwillingly escaped Tithe to a clapper? In this revealing short story, Neal Shusterman opens a window on Lev’s adventures between the time he left CyFi and showed up at the Graveyard. Pulling elements from Neal Shusterman’s critically acclaimed Unwind and giving hints about what is to come in the riveting sequel, UnWholly, this short story is not to be missed.

Good little warm up!

Would you listen to Unstrung again? Why?

I probably would not listen again. It wasn't long and is not hard to recall the details. This book is just a stepping stone between the first and second book. Interesting but not mandatory.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Unstrung?

I liked the main character a bit too much. I wanted him to stay around a bit longer.

What about Luke Daniels’s performance did you like?

He is consistent from book to book.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

It does not have a plot of its own... So no movie here

Wish I’d skipped that

My advise is to skip it. Not simp unsatisfying but annoying as well. I might not continue with the series.

WE LEARN DEEPLY

PARTS PIRATES
Not sure this answered any questions? If you are a huge Un Fan, you will want to listen. If you are just a warm fan, it will not be that interesting. Book one is great, everyone should read that. I have not read book Two yet, but I will. Lev spends time with some Indians, sorry Native Americans, sorry Chance People and he is treated well, But and it is a big But.

CHANCE PEOPLE
The newness of the whole Un, may be wearing off on me and I found the Chance People with their stilted talk and different beliefs, just a bit boring. Not that their is anything wrong with believing in Animal Spirits and transplanting animal hearts into humans is not any more unbelievable then being Un, I just could not get into it. I might be too old?

Needed for the plot of book 3

This was a good short story on what really pushed Lev over the edge in book 1. I'm currently on book 3 and I think the bit of story in this book is actually important to the plot of book 3 so if your interested in this series check it out.

Luke Daniels is one of my favorite narrators.

Left speechless

This is a very important book in the unwind series. There are a lot of reviews claiming this wasn’t a good read, but don’t listen to them. Listen to the book instead and choose for yourself. The narrator Luke Daniels does a good job at reading and keeps the voice accents consistent. This story will help bridge the gap between Lev’s actions in the first book, and give a little bit of backstory to the second book.

in short: give this a listen. it’s short, but sweet and important.

nice story, touching and emotional

if you liked Unwind, this is a nice little add on. I cried. it was very short, and it is better in my opinion to read it than to listen. But seeing as I got it for free as part of my membership, I am not complaining

A nice look back into the Unwind world

I enjoyed this. It was a nice novella to get me back into the world after a long break from the 1st one. The narration was good, and I liked the new characters that were introduced.
