Story
When we read stories about our heroes who achieved their dreams in face of many challenges, we are often struck with awe, and we think to ourselves: "Sure, they can do it, but I’m not that strong!" The truth is, we are all made of flesh, blood, and dreams, and we all have the same intrinsic power to reach for our goals and actually achieve them. So, what makes those people different than us? On an average, people tend to give up on their goals when they face difficulties.

Story
For decades we've been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. "F*ck positivity," Mark Manson says. "Let's be honest, shit is f*cked, and we have to live with it." In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson doesn't sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells it like it is - a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely lacking today. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is his antidote to the coddling, let's-all-feel-good mind-set that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up.

Story
There are many reasons for a person to develop anxiety, but the outcome is the same: difficulty in properly living. It can negatively impact every aspect of your life, including your interaction with your partner. This could become an opening for other problems to occur, no matter how much you love him/her or how seemingly "normal" things currently are. Maybe you've encountered some already, like one day you're okay with them, then the next day you're upset because of jealousy, and self-doubt.

Up to 40% of people consider themselves shy. You might say you're introverted or awkward, or that you're fine around friends but just can't speak up in a meeting or at a party. Maybe you're usually confident but have recently moved or started a new job, only to feel isolated and unsure. If you get nervous in social situations - meeting your partner's friends, public speaking, standing awkwardly in the elevator with your boss - you've probably been told, "Just be yourself!" But that's easier said than done - especially if you're prone to social anxiety.

Possibly a great calming book
I purchased this book thinking it would give me tools that I could use to get me back to feeling normal again & whilst it might just do that it didn’t scratch the surface for my problem if I only knew what it was? After 3 years of anxiety turning into possible depression I’ve started to feel I may have PTSD?
I had the dreaded Cncr in the worst possible place in my opinion my nose & came home after having had my septum removed with a whole host of side effects which I looked up & viewed gory pictures of people which stopped me sleeping properly which then made me Mr Angry with folk & very critical of people & everyday life (wife)
This has got a little better as it has weened if a little but I still have some very dark days never seemingly going away ex - I even got mad at others problems whist listening to this book by thinking “what’s the matter with them” sorry
Anyway way it might as said be a good book for a whole host of issues regarding the brain but it didn’t address my PTSD “If “ that’s what I have
Will possibly help others.

Life changing!
I wish this was the first thing I’d been given after my first adrenaline rush!! The science behind them gave me an ahah moment…and you can’t argue with science! Made me worry less instantly and be ready to sit with anxiety when/if it presents itself again. Also saying yes to all the events I was starting to shy away from but usually love. Reclaiming my adrenaline! Thank you so much for this knowledge.
