Publisher's Summary

USA Today best-selling author Claudia Burgoa brings you a romantic comedy filled with loss, hope, and new chances.

What if the person you try to save is the one who saves your heart?

It’s official. I’m totally hopeless at love, parenting, and life.

Single mom? Check.

Massive debt? Check.

A sassy daughter who inherited my gift of snark? Ugh. Check.

I work three jobs, go to school, and do my best to be in my kid’s life. Men are the last thing on my mind. I wouldn’t have time to look at a man even if he fell into my lap.

Until he does. Thanks to my spawn who keeps calling some famous relationship expert, airing my disastrous life in her podcast.

That’s when Zach, my brother’s best friend in high school, appears. I used to have a major crush on him, but I figured he forgot about me.

Zach, who tragically lost his wife some time ago, and now he’s looking to save everyone - including me.

A super hot fling with my old flame, with a broken man?

Double check.

Until Next Time is a romantic comedy featuring a secret billionaire looking for the one who got away. This chick-lit tale of a single mom searching for her happy ending is fun, sexy, and oh-so swoonful. A brand-new romance novel by USA Today best-selling author Claudia Burgoa.

Love CB's writing style and stories❣️

I absolutely love CB's writing style and stories. I really like how she writes about 2 imperfect, guilt- ridden people who find healing in an old friendship. I especially love that CB writes about my hometown (Seattle).
Each series builds upon the last with characters and storylines, but it isn't necessarily required to read each series in order.
With Jason Clarke, Brooke Bloomingdale, and Ava Erickson, the narration could not be better!

Wonderful Story & Narration🎧 A Heartfelt Delight!

This fabulous romantic comedy has the perfect balance of drama, humor, heartfelt emotions, and romance. Claudia Burgoa is a gifted author with a wonderful writing style, her way with words and descriptive details pull you into her stories, brings you alongside her characters allowing you to see what they see, feel what they feel and what they are thinking. The characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with, they are easy to care about and maybe even fall for. I adored the two and a half lead characters Autumn Wickerton and Zachary David St. James, aka Zach, and the half goes to Autumn’s daughter Matilda, who is adorable and steals the show more than once. Autumn is a single mother struggling to make ends meet, she is still grieving the loss of Paxton, Matilda’s father and the love of her life, who died in a car accident. Zach was married to Calliope “Callie” Brassard, until her tragic end, he is still grieving for her too. Neither has moved on since their losses, Zach buried himself in his businesses and Autumn juggles school, three jobs and taking care of her daughter. And when her daughter calls into the “Life with Persy” podcast, it sets some things in motion, including the Brassards and Zach. Zach remembered Autumn, he was friends with her older brother and he wanted to do something good for her. He finds himself drawn to her and makes his way into her life, which is not easy because of her busy schedule and not letting him in. I loved these two together and for each other, also loved how Zach was with Matilda. There is never a dull moment in this beautifully plotted story, it has some heartwarming scenes, scenes that will move you and ones that will make you smile. It was great to see some Brassards again and I am looking forward to get to know more of the St. James. Claudia Burgoa, thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Claudia Burgoa always casts the perfect narrators to bring her characters and story to life. Jason Clarke, Ava Erikson and Brooke Bloomingdale are superbly talented narrators and versatile voice artists. They have a complete understanding of the characters they are portraying, give each a voice that suits their persona, and are believable in every role they play. You could hear how much heart they put into their work as they capture all the characters’ emotions and project them into their performance and having you feel every single one. They set the perfect tone for the story, handle the witty dialogue naturally and with ease, and land the humor effortlessly. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to and their narration enhances an already amazing story to another level. Thank you for another exceptional listen.

Fantastic book and narration

This book kicks off the a new series Against All Odds - The St. James family. This is a wonderful story that is filled with hope, perseverance, determination and love. Claudia writes so much emotion and depth into her characters.

Autumn is a single mom who is doing her best - working multiple jobs, going to school and be the best mom she can. She is caring some major baggage, guilt and is a bit broken. Matilda is her 7 yo daughter but is wise beyond her years…she steals the show!

Zach is not in a good place, dealing with guilt, pain and loss. He’s going through the motions and helping others around him, but is not taking the time to heal and care for himself.

There is an amazing cast of characters in the book that are so loving and supportive. I cannot wait to see what’s in store for the other characters in this series.

Jason Clarke, Ava Erickson and Brooke Bloomingdale do an amazing job with the narration. The emotion, personality and voice they give to each character is fantastic.

Disappointed.

I love Claudia Burgoa writing, but I was disappointed in the characters. I felted they both were selfish, they wouldn't let anyone help them with their grief. They were so wrapped up in own feelings that they miss how much it was hurting others. I had a hard time finishing. The narrators were great as always.

an emotional journey

Since I started reading Claudia Burgoa's books, I've missed very few, and most of those have since been read. I tell you that because Until Next Time is the one exception in that it was intentionally skipped when it was first released. I was going through my grieving process and decided to wait until I was in a better place to read about Zach's and Autumn's losses. Parts of this one were still hard for me, but the balance of angst and humor helped a lot. The wonderful narration by Jason Clarke, Ava Erikson, and Brooke Bloomingdale certainly didn't hurt either. This isn't my first listening experience with any of these narrators, and I'm always happy to let them carry me away for a while, especially when they voice Claudia's complex characters. We even get to visit with some past favorites, which is one of the many things I like about this author. So many characters pop in from other books and series, yet the book can still be read as a standalone (not that you'll want to read just this one book once you've met Claudia Burgoa's characters).
Back to Zach and Autumn: this couple kind of takes the scenic route to their HEA, and quite often, it's an emotional journey. Even through the angst, their attraction is almost palpable. There's just something about this pair that makes you want to see them happy. It's not all about Zach and Autumn, though. We also get a too smart for her own good, meddling in mommy's love life, calling it as she sees it, adorable little lady, who pretty much steals the show every time she's on the page.
So, once again, Claudia Burgoa has penned a terrific story and characters and entrusted them to some thoroughly entertaining narrators for a book I'll be thinking about for some time to come.

Until Next Time

I can always count on Claudia Burgoa to deliver an entertaining, fun, and often funny read.

I really liked following Zach and Autumn's journey together. They had great chemistry and a strong connection from early on. Both had struggles, but found something special with each other. It was nice, too, seeing Zach with Autumn's daughter Matilda.

This is one of my favorites from Claudia and I can't wait for more of this series!

Sweet and Swoony Romance!!

Until Next Time was a sweet and swoony second chance romance that made my heart squeeze in all the best ways. I loved that this romance explores a couple who have both lost someone in past, and learn to love and trust again with each other. Zach and Autumn have faced so many challenges in the past, and I fell in love with their journey to find a HEA together.

This audio is narrated by Jason Clarke and Ava Erickson with Brooke Bloomingdale. Jason and Ava were swoony perfection in this audio. In Jason's performance, you could feel Zach's conflicted emotions and deep desires as he finally accepted what he really wanted and needed in his life. (So dreamy!) Ava embodies Autumn in her performance emphasizing her doubts, fears and wants as she strives to do what is best for herself and her daughter. Their chemistry was magnetic!!

Overall, I loved this audio, and I look forward to more from the St. James Family and Claudia Burgoa.

A very special story with wonderful narration

AUDIO REVIEW
What a great start to the new, Against All Odds: St James Family Series from Claudia Y. Burgoa.
I have to say this is a go to author for me and I was excited when I heard she was writing a new series but nothing could prepare me for Zach and Autumn’s roller coaster of a journey. This is an emotional yet entertaining read, it’s raw and at times your heart will break but as you go through all the emotions this couple feel you will find yourself making new friends you won’t forget.
The narration team of Jason Clarke, Ava Erickson and Brooke Bloomingdale did a wonderful job bringing this family to life and they were spot on with every emotion felt throughout this wonderful listen.
Until Next Time is a very special read, it’s beautifully written but what took this story to another level is that it’s written from the heart and as you watch these characters grow you will see exactly what I mean. But let’s not forget single mum Autumn’s daughter Matilda who only wants her mum to be happy and at times this adorable little girl stole the show with her classic one liners.
If this book is anything to go by Ms Burgoa will certainly have another hit series on her hands and I can’t wait to see where we are taken with the rest of the St James family.

Zach and Autumn!

When Zach married he thought he had found his happy ever after even though his marriage wasn’t exactly as he pictured it to be. When his wife passed away six months later all he is left with is what ifs and what could have been. He has focused all on his attention on his career until a little girl on a podcast changes everything.

After the tragic death of her first and only love Autumn is trying to balance school, work and being the best mother she can be to her daughter. When her daughter decides that her mother needs a man in her life, and she needs a dad she takes to the airwaves and attracts the attention of Zach who shares a past with Autumn.

Both Zach and Autumn are trying to heal from their devastating pasts and are cautious about getting their hearts broken again especially when it could hurt their little matchmaker as well. This is an enchanting story about love, family and second chances and Matilda’s comments and actions are too cute for words. I enjoyed the performance of the narrators as they brought out all the emotions and personalities of the characters.
