Publisher's Summary

Teamwork ain’t easy. Especially with your life on the line.

Emma made it out of Hub Two, but now she’s faced with the next set of Trials. And this time, they will "involve" combat.

Whatever that’s supposed to mean.

Thankfully, she’s not going in alone. Instead, she’ll be facing the Trials together with her little gang of misfits, relying on them to pull their weight in life-or-death situations....

At least maybe they’ll keep her from taking any more stupid risks, right?

Not like they’re lacking in trouble as it is. After all, there are still many unanswered questions about the Realm of Crystals. All they have to go by is sparse information provided by the mysterious Artificial Intelligences linked to their eye-crystals.

But can those really be trusted to tell the truth?

Good story ruined by narration

The piercing/sibilant S sounds from the narrator made it impossible to enjoy this story, so bad that I ended up trying to configure an EQ to tone it down. I had my gripes with the previous narrator but I'm very much hoping for a return in the next book now.

all-around good listen

the narrator has a mastery of tone and inflection; giving the characters some personality that the writing doesn't (and the writing is pretty good at that as well).

I love the story! The power system is a neat idea, and the multi use way they form makes for every character to really develop cool power sets to match their own style.

It was great!!

Awesome book, and even though I didn't mind the first narrator, this one did a really great job! I was worried since I had read a review that some of the audio made it sound like her esses were really sharp, but that only happened once, and it was due to the speaker that I was using. Overall, a great job

Way better

This book was way better than book 1, it's almost unbelievable. H.C mills writing skills really came out when writing this one, I can't wait to see how the rest of the series plays out. this book certainly has crawled its way to one of the best litrpgs this year!!!.

Let's talk about the narrator, Erica Maity did so good!!! she's such a good narrator, with so many voices. Some of her voices give a layer of wonder to the characters that just really brings them out. She really fits this book and I can't wait to see more of her work!. overall the Narration is top tier.

Now let's talk about basically everything else.
Now in my other review I mentioned how the characters didn't have much depth to them, well in this one that's completely fixed. I really got to know most of the side characters, and I felt a connection with basically all of them. they all gained depth and unique personalities. I'd also like to talk about the Mc, I mentioned in my past review how she was like an onion. I support that statement 1000% now. She has so much depth and she's written really well.
Overall I think the characters are 5 star.
Now let's talk about the plot, I honestly think it got way better in this book. I feel like this is where it really blossomed. it was like book 1 was the YouTube with ads and book 2 was the YouTube premium.
I think the plot was really good in this book, and I want to see how it plays out in the later books.

I feel like we talked about enough stuff in this review for me to end it. I really liked the sequel, and I think it's only gonna get better.

Like I mentioned, h.c mills writing skills really came out in this book, the narration also got better, and I feel overall this book was just better than book 1. I 100% recommend this sequel to anyone who wants an awesome story!!!.

W entry in the series

The potential and promise of the first book is not only delivered but expanded upon with the 2nd. I am eagerly anticipating the next installment. This is a unique approach to the isekai/ litrpg genre and would recommend this book and series with my whole chest
