Part mystery part love story engaging suspenseful!
A story of intelligent people dealing with real complex modern lives in a way that's engaging and suspenseful too the very end. Sneaky writing, making the reader hate, love, hate then love the same character through out the book.

Predictable but enjoyable.
What did you like most about Up Close?
Great to read about the part of the country I hail from for a change.
What did you like best about this story?
This was a love story with a twist. Not too slushy or sexy, just a nice easy holiday listen which all ties together in the end.
What does Jenny Funnell bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?
This was a very simple, non-challenging book, which was brought to life by the narration.
Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
The story itself caused no extreme emotional reactions, but the 'norfolk' accents made me laugh!

Good story, well told
I enjoyed this story, although I thought the bad guy was easy to spot from very early on and the ending was satisfactory if a little lacking in suspense. The pace sometimes felt a bit slow, but always kept my interest. The narration was excellent.
