Story
So, there were many things I could have done differently. I could have gone on a cruise and forgotten about stealing a killer box from a Vampire King. I could have shaved my head and become a Tibetan monk. I could have also lost my virginity to some nice Texas cowboy who wanted to introduce me to his mother. But instead, I went to Germany and ended up fighting Mercenaries. I also fell in love with a Vampire King who claimed me as his. And now I’m in the river and all because I decided not to just stay home and do my laundry. No, instead...I shot a pilot.

It all started with a plane ride. Just a simple plane ride home…that’s what they said. One that wasn’t supposed to end with me flying the damn thing! But then going home wasn’t supposed to be a bad thing either…well, that was if going home didn’t also meaning trying to hide my new, secret boyfriend. Someone who just so happened to be my father’s old enemy. Well, Lucius had other ideas, ones that included sneaking into my room, reading my diary, feeling me up and getting my panties in a twist about pretty much everything…literally.

The Gothic nightclub is about to welcome a new guest, and this time it is one he can’t control. As for Dominic Draven, the king of all supernatural life, handling just one little mortal named Keira should be no problem for him…right? Wrong! Story
The day I snuck into the infamous Devil’s Ring Fight Club. I had followed my cousin Amelia, who turned out not to be quite as innocent as I first believed. In fact, it turned out she didn’t live in the same world as I did…Not at all. I knew this the moment I entered his kingdom. My world changed the moment he found me. He gave me a warning that night. He told me if he ever found me again then next time, he wouldn’t be so quick in letting me escape him. His little Red Riding Hood. It was a threat I took seriously as it was only my dreams that took me back to that place.

When everything is on the line, how far will you go to protect those you love? What if the cost of saving them is your soul? Would you pay it? I thought I was prepared for what was coming; that if I made sacrifices, I could win this game. I’m no longer afraid of the darkness or the monsters that hide in the shadows. I’ve become what I feared most, allowing it in to protect those I loved. Sometimes it takes a monster to win. Sometimes to fight monsters, you have to become one. Story
It has been 13 years since the war started, the bombs were dropped, and the central states became a thing of the past. When the war ended, a wall was erected to divide the surviving states from those destroyed. I never expected to go beyond the wall, but unlike all the others who volunteered to go, I wasn't given a choice. With a dim knowledge of what I could do, the soldiers came for me. They took me beyond the wall where I learned that the truth is far more terrifying than I'd ever dreamed.

Story
The deal is simple: spend a month with a mysterious billionaire who is the owner of Louisiana’s La Petite Mort Casino, and he’ll forget my father’s gambling debts. If it means saving our family home and business, I’ll do anything. With his strong, sexy, take charge arrogance, Nicolas Dupont is a mystery to me. But it doesn’t matter how hot he is. This is purely a business arrangement. Nic can have any woman he wants and it makes no sense that he'd be interested in a virgin like me. I’m certainly not about to fall for a guy who thinks he can own me.

Publisher's Summary
Amelia…
Foresight is a great thing.
It would have come in handy.
Like when I decided to try to steal from an angry Vampire King. Nope, probably wasn’t one of my better ideas. And now he’s decided he’s done waiting, whatever that means.
He tells me I have pushed the limits of his patience for the last seven years and now it is time to claim what is rightfully his.
Because now it turns out that I am not the only one with an unhealthy obsession. He just hides his better.
Well, he isn’t hiding anymore.
And as for me. I am now his prisoner who, unknowingly, just slammed the door to my own cell. And all because I stole from him.
Stole the heart of the notorious Vampire King.

Loving this series as much as the first series!
The only complaint I have is that it was decided to be done only by one reader, vs two. When the perspective changes back and forth between the two characters, both speaking in first person, it was confusing a couple of times. Otherwise the performance was great. (And really that was an editor’s error in choice, not the performer.)

Better than book 1
Great story with great narration. The plot is good but the series still has to much internal dialogue. It’s much improved over book 1. Amelia’s relationship with Lucian finally starts to take off and there is finally a romantic relationship between the two. Although there are still many bumps along the way. Including a nasty ex who is out for revenge!
Spoiler Alert !!!
Amelia and Lucian finally do the deed and things heat up 😈.

Fantastic
Great story great acting Fantastic overall!! Took me a minute to get used to the new reader but not long before I was completely enjoying her acting abilities In in first Transfusion book as well as this one. So nice to not be constantly in the middle of a gruesome war ripping intestines out of gross demons. I'm very aware of how many more books there are in the series and violence is sure to come but it was oh so nice to have a break. That said I still love Amelia's bravery, quick actions and Luscious 's bi/polar personality! Definitely a cliffhanger ending. On to the next in the saga and not a minute to soon.*

Well I have no respect for the girl
She gave in so easily with no answers, no proof, no romance, no reason. With Lucius acting as if he didn't know how to feel or act when he clearly loved Kiera if you read the Afterlife series. In fact, he treated her better if you ask me. He's got a lot to answer for and this dumb chick has no sense. In fact Kiera never should've forgiven him since he ruined her childhood, causing her experience with Morgan to be even more horrific due to her demon sight. The scales are askew and the fact that he still acts like an ass after gaining back his heavenly half makes little sense. Kiera gave him back his humanity. And I'm sorry but losing your virginity to a well endowed rough beast would hardly be pleasurable. The fact that Amelia hasn't even had any intimacy with males before makes her desire for kink or domination unbelievable. So although she grew up privileged, somehow she has become a battered woman. The controlling behavior, threats, placing blame, lies, aggression, violence, disrespect, domination, imprisonment, all under the guise of love and submission. I'm truly disappointed. I won't be continuing this series.

Good yet a bit predictable in spots.

I listened to the 1st and 2nd books and I don’t like the narrator because Clay, Pip and her mother sounds like my grandparents but actually should sound more youthful. Secondly, this girl can’t be any more of a submissive unless she gets her feelings hurts or fighting. Bipolar much?
