Partnered with her changeling boyfriend, Zeph Clemmont, and back by the Faerie King, Eldrick Dorchaidhe, Josie feels confident she has nothing more to fear.

Until a case stirs up whispers of a name all fave, both Seelie and Unseelie, fear....

But chasing rumors of skiia may carry Josie down a path riddled with dangerous magic not even Zeph can save her from. Can Josie muster the strength to face the darkest secrets of her past? Or will the same monsters who obliterated the faerie world now destroy the human one, too?

I don’t get it.

I am an avid listener of audiobooks, rarely do I come across something that choses to end a book in a series at such bizarre places. I need some serious explanations. I hope book 3 will finish this series off in a manner worthy of the story and respectful of the reader.

NOT HAPPY AT WHERE THE BOOK ENDED!

Really getting into the story & it just ends. The first book ended well. This book was too short for the price. Most of all it ended in the middle! Like seriously, How could you just do that?! And there is no telling when the rest will come out. I'm all for series. That's what I buy. But to just end it like this & only have 22 chapters in it? Nichole really girl, got do better on this! You can't get people all into a story & end it at A NON- STOPPING POINT. Stretch out what you had in the beginning out. There's a bit more could have been explained it something, a lot was going on. Very disappointed in this books ending. Shoot add more about Josie's parents & brother or something.

Missing Chapters??

Umm I think I got the rough draft copy that’s missing a few chapters near the end of the book….*scratching head* 🧐🤔🤨🥺

Unfinished storyline

Very disappointed with the way this book ended. I thought I missed a few chapters because it ended at such an odd place. It was not a stopping point. Very strange.

excellent continuation with cliffhangers

This is a great follow up for the first book. Takes place a year or so after book one ended. You get part of the story from different characters perspectives, which is different from book one.

But!! It’s ONE HUNDRED PERCENT a cliffhanger. Whereas book one could have a bow tied around it and ended, this one left so many questions that you’re itching for the third installment (ha, good job Ms. Conway for leaving folks wanting to read the next, I see what you did there). Not that it wasn’t enjoyable - if you liked the first chances are you’ll like this. It just left SO many major loose ends, which kinda stinks because ... you know, folks like to
have answers. With all that being said, I would recommend it, just mentally prepare yourself for some questions to not be answered.

Fascinating 2nd book

This is a great 2nd book. Lots of answered questions that were left as cliffhanger and some new and interesting unanswered questions. The story is fast paced w/o loosing it's reader/listener. the only critique is not every character needs to chew the inside of their cheek.

A good book

The reason this book seems to end in a strange place is because it’s book 2. You don’t HAVE to read book 1, but without giving anything away, the end of book two is placed in the past, before book 1….. so it can be confusing.

So repetitive

I don't know how many more "Ugh" comments I can tolerate or how every character now treats the inside of their cheek like bubblegum. This nonsense wasn't happening in the first book, but, it went out of control in this one. There are also a lot of mispronounced words.

Why are there not people who check on this type of thing??

Good but could be better

Would prefer for one single narrator. Or if you have two then for one to do the female voice and the other the male rather than switching off on some of the chapters.

enjoying the series but some of the pronunciation.

I'm actually enjoying this series so far my only niggle is how the words shone and tousled etc is pronounced. Also I think I preferred just the one narrator...after the first book I was used to Eldric and Zeth sounding a certain way and when the male narrator takes over I feel like the voice doesn't suit the characters... especially Zeth he sounds too Gruff and less likeable with that tone.
worth a listen though

Loved this book!

I loved this book so much more than the first one! The relationship between Zeph and Josie wasn’t seeming so creepy in this one, I also loved her friend Roxy and I really loved Eldric coming out of his shell more, he was adorable in the first book but I loved him in this one, I loved to get to know the characters more in this one! I wasn’t sure about the second narrator though as the usual one was amazing in both and didn’t need any help but after I got used to him I didn’t mind too much, I can’t wait to see where the next book leads!

loving the narrator!

Her range of voices and accents makes the characters come alive.
The story is presently unexpected
