Publisher's Summary

Number one New York Times best-selling Catherine Coulter returns with a brilliant new novel in her FBI thriller series, in which agents Sherlock and Savich find themselves dealing with very powerful figures from the past who could wreak havoc in the present.

Seven years ago, Mia Briscoe was at a college frat rave with her best friend, Serena, when a fire broke out. Everyone was accounted for except Serena, who was never seen nor heard from again. Now an investigative journalist covering the political scene in New York City, Mia discovers old photos taken the night of Serena’s disappearance and begins to uncover a sinister string of events going all the way back to that disastrous party. Working with Sherlock, the secrets begin to unravel. But some very powerful - and very dangerous - people will do anything to keep them from learning the truth.

CIA Operative Olivia Hildebrandt is a team leader on a mission in Iran to exfiltrate a betrayed undercover operative. She’s nearly killed by an exploding grenade and saved by a team member. But by the time Olivia is released from Walter Reed Hospital, that team member and a critical flash drive he was carrying have disappeared. When Olivia is attacked on her first night home, Savich suspects that the strike is a direct result of the compromised mission and the missing team member and flash drive. But what intelligence was at stake, and who betrayed them?

Really enjoy listening to another great book. And i give credit for the narrators that read your books for me to listening to. Also love the end of the book, Shawn is growing up no longer a little boy. This book was outstanding in every way. Keep me on the edge of my seat until the end of the book. I stay up all night until almost noon time listening to the book, i didn’t go to sleep because i didn’t want to miss anything. Thank you again for writing these book that i do enjoy listening to over and over again.keep writing stories like this, it is so enchanting. Keep up the good writing. This book is my number one book to listen to for this year. When i finish this i am going to listen to it again. My husband enjoy it as much as i do. I also enjoy the new characters and the old ones that has come back into it. Love hearing about Lucy and coop new baby boy Eric. That make me smile.

Good story but needed to have Renee & Paul for the performers

With your other books Catherine I did not have a problem figuring who the characters were.
To me all the women’s voices were very much the same and the same with the men’s.

With Renee Rodman & Paul Kastanz I never had that problem.

I do like the story but am very disappointed with the performers,

Narration is just off!

I'm usually a lover of all things Catherine Coulter, but this has been the exception. I really enjoyed her historical romances they were good. Her FBI series about Sherlock and Savich has been my absolute favorite. I wait impatiently every year for a new installment of this wonderful series. The narrators have changed over the years and I still enjoyed the previous well written audio stories. I don't know if I dislike the book this time, but I know I hated the narrators. I couldn't get pass chapter two and fell asleep on the rest. I will return this and purchase a kindle copy.

Couldn't get past the narration

Could be a good enough story but the narration turned me off right from the beginning.

Fabulous intricate story!

This was a wonderful story. Very complex and entertaining. I did not like the new readers voices. Very hard to identify who was talking… even Sean sounded like the other men. Get the readers from the other books back!

Narrators so different

Even before with changing narrators the characters felt like old friends. It took me days to get into the book the narration was losing me. Boring, felt disconnected. By the end of the book of course it was better.
