SO GOOD 10/10
Wow this book was so good! Definitely my favorite so far! I love all of my he new characters like cherry paw and sparrow paw. The journey showed firestar and sandstorms love very well and I’m excited for skywatchers prophecy to come! The voice acting was pretty good. Better then the last books. Some of the voices sounded like other cats like sharp claw sounded like tigerstar. I love to see so many of my favorite cats go through life and i would give the story 6 stars if i could!

I've been following Ms.Hunter's Warriors novels as
sequentially I've been able to. I am a sculptor, a Soutmaster, & a teller of stories to Scouts on campouts. I have a keen ear for a well worded story which these are without a noticed exception. What's more, the thoughts, & emotional responses of these felines are both believably consistent a cat's perspectives while being recognisable to self-aware youths of 07 + yrs. boy, or girl. The action conflicts, & battles of will held riveted me beginning to end, as every conflict fit the flow of of story..
The author's mastery of language is both elegant, & easy to follow as a cat's mind would feel it in both serious,serious, playful situations.
Its all a cat's world living feline dramas, enough to capture the attention of any youngling. All of the "warriors" books fit in enough of a sequence to make it worth beginning with book one, but not so much so as to confuse a listener.
Many adults will so fall in love with the deep colorful imagery they will seek out & purchase hard copies of these beautiful stories for their home librarys for passing down the generations; my wife,, & I'm are one of those families..
--> Thank You Erwin,
beautifully written story telling.

Perfect.
Of course, my first venture into audiobooks had to be a book in the series nearest and dearest to my heart. And this performance and presentation of Warriors did not disappoint at all. I can hardly wait to listen to more Warriors narrated by MacLeod. He does a wonderful job putting appropriate feeling into the narration, and making each character sound distinct. Not an easy task for one person in a book with so many characters! His speech is very clear, and he has quite a calming voice (that's not to say it loses any urgency in the action-packed scenes, though; it definitely does not.)
Story-wise this is just what I've come to expect and love from Warriors; adventure, heartfelt emotion, drama, battle, ebbs and flows of hope and hopelessness... a great farewell to Firestar as a POV character and a wonderful introduction to SkyClan. Although it is technically not a main series book, I'd consider this at least close to required reading - or indeed listening - for Warriors fans. It sets up a lot for the Power of Three series and beyond, and even in some smaller ways the New Prophecy. Just because I waited so long to finally get around to this one doesn't mean I should have!
