Miah Gray is a 27-year-old former army soldier living in rural New Hampshire with his sister, mother, and her boyfriend. He is plagued by PTSD, finding solace, but not redemption, with the aid of prescribed cannabis. All he wants to do is get high, relax with a good sandwich, and watch a meteor shower with his neighborhood crush, Jen. When the sun's light is blotted out the following morning and the world is plunged into darkness, Miah finds himself locked down with his family, covering windows with trash bags, lighting candles, and following the arcane rules of an ancient prophecy.

Most days, Sarya doesn't feel like the most terrifying creature in the galaxy. Most days, she's got other things on her mind. Like hiding her identity among the hundreds of alien species roaming the corridors of Watertower Station. Or making sure her adoptive mother doesn't casually eviscerate one of their neighbors. Again. And most days, she can almost accept that she'll never know the truth - that she'll never know why humanity was deemed too dangerous to exist.

It was a day like any other. Except it was our last.... It’s on this day that Pounce discovers that he is, in fact, disposable. Pounce, a styilsh "nannybot" fashioned in the shape of a plush anthropomorphic tiger, has just found a box in the attic. His box. The box he'd arrived in when he was purchased years earlier, and the box in which he'll be discarded when his human charge, eight-year-old Ezra Reinhart, no longer needs a nanny. Better than the first anthology.
An even stronger collection than the first anthology, at least in the first half. Narration is mostly top-notch with a couple of notable exceptions. Taylor Meskimen (not listed in the credits, narrator of Colliding Branes (sic)) was especially painful to listen to; baby voice, ssssibilant sssss's at the end of wordsssss, abuse of the "eh" sound ("rafferinces" viz references, "naxt" viz next, "daffinately" viz definitely, "taxt" vis text, "gnatworking" viz networking, "claverly laveraged her interast", etc. I stopped listening when she referred to sex as "sax".

amazing post-apocalyptical stories
wasteland 2 stories of the Apocalypse is as exciting as the first one. I thoroughly enjoyed the stories and could vision these playing out in my head. listening to the audiobook in my opinion was a lot better than reading the book. I bought the book almost five years ago and wanted to dedicate a story a month but I just could not finish the book but listening to it was a whole different experience that I thoroughly enjoyed.
