Publisher's Summary
Zara Riddle has finally found work-life-magic balance when someone from her past arrives to destroy everything.
Rhys Quarry wasn't much of a father to Zara. He swears everything's different now, but some people never change. Soon he's teaching his con man ways to his granddaughter. If only he could teach her something useful.
When a member of the magical community goes missing, Zara joins the search. When she and Zinnia find a trio of ghosts, the search becomes a murder investigation. The local police say they'll solve the case, but how can they? Their top detective is distracted, wandering around town feeding the wildlife and talking about conspiracies.
Cracking this case will mean busting out some new spells - the dangerous kind that a witch can't cast on her own. The three Riddles team up as they move into uncharted territory. Unfortunately for them, danger isn't far behind.
Zara and her family face their biggest foe yet. To survive, they'll have to access magic they've never used before. When the confrontation turns deadly, no one will be walking away untouched.
Change is in the air, and it's not going to be pretty.

Possibly My Favourite Book in the Series So Far
This is my fifth book I have listened to by Angela Pepper and she never fails to deliver!
I think of the four Wisteria Witch books I have read, this mystery has been my favourite. I laughed harder during this book then ever before. Yet again, in amazing Angela Pepper-ness the listener gets introduced to new characters slowly. I loved meeting one of the newest characters and I love how it happened. (Sorry to be vague, but I don't want the surprise to be ruined.) The mystery was also my favourite so far, and I feel it was the hardest to figure out (even though I am getting more used to Pepper's style of writing.) I still laugh at how trusting Zora is of strangers or people she just met. This book also gets you more involved with the library and the staff. Just wait and be surprised.
Tiffany Williams does a PHENOMENAL job, time and time again, and is very consistent with her voices book to book. She really helps bring these characters and the story to life.
I received this audiobook at my request, and I provided this voluntary review.

I can't get enough of this series!
My love for this series only grows bigger with each book. I love Zara and Zoey's relationship, I love the quirky dialogues and the whole bunch of queer characters who populate Wisteria.
And Bentley is looking more and more as a promising candidate for Zara's heart.
It was really good to find more about Zara's childhood and about her father. Although, argh! that is a very selfish man! I'm really sorry for Zoey, as she really wanted a grandad :( But then... Zoey is... okay, you'll need to read/listen to the book to learn that :P
And the mystery was fascinating! Also, ghost!dogs!
And the ending! Ouch! I can't wait to know what's going on...
A recommendation, though: if you're listening to this, as I did, avoid doing it on the streets. Bursting out laughing while walking around is not something that makes you look like a sane and trustworthy citizen :P
Tiffany Williams' narration was, as always, delightful.

Another winner!
I love this series and the companion series that explores Zinnia's life in more detail.
This story develops Zara's character and gives us insight as to what formed her outlook on life.
We meet her father and get more surprises.
Angela always leaves us with a cliffhanger to lead into the next book! I can't stop listening!
Tiffany does a great job with the narration.

Zara is a good witch and is a good mother
Another dose of snarky whit comes your way in this installment from Wisteria. When Zara encounters a wounded fox walking through Spirit Park, she has to decide if someone is trying to get her to reveal herself as a witch or it's just a wounded fox. What she learns turns her house and life upside down. Not only that, but Zoey finally finds her magical power but it isn't what they expected. Zoey and Zinnia have to save Zara from a killer plant. Will things ever go back to"normal" for the Riddles?

Lots of surprises in this book!
Watchful Wisteria by Angela Pepper and narrated by Tiffany Williams is an Audible book I requested and the review is voluntary. This is another awesome paranormal adventure in the supernatural town of Wisteria. This time there are life and death struggles, family members popping in unexpected, a murder to solve, getting possessed by a ghost, and other zany things in the life of a witch! I love these fun characters, it's fun to see how they grow and change. Always a fun and interesting plot, unpredictable situations, and intriguing stories! Creatures, magic, and shifters are only part of the fun in this crazy town! Love it!
The narrator is too notch! She is truly amazing! Makes the book flow so well! Can't wait for the next one!

Good Read
Watchful Wisteria (Wisteria Witches #4) was a good read by Angela Pepper. Zara is trying to balance her career, motherhood, and being a novice witch. Someone from her past shows up bleeding and almost dead. Zara now has a ghost haunting Zara and making her do things like gardening. Zara must find out who killed the ghost. I enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to read more in this series.

Irish voice grated for me
I did not enjoy this book quite as much as the previous ones in the series. It had all the things I love about the series - the mystery, the magic, the sass, the relationship between Zara and her daughter Zoe. However, although the narration was, in general, excellent (as always), the voice assigned to Zara’s father really, really grated on me. I think it’s meant to be Irish, and I can’t speak to its accuracy (I’ve not heard enough different Irish accents), but as it was a large part of this story, it rather detracted from my enjoyment. I will persist with the series, as hopefully he’s not in all of them, but I might read this one as an ebook next time around!
