Publisher's Summary

"Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed,

for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go." (Joshua 1:9)

Each day, you watch America turn further from Christian values and the core principles of liberty. It's frustrating to feel you can't assert biblical truth without facing condemnation, and fearful to witness outrage and victimhood replace respect and reason. Amid this dissent, how can you not only stay rooted in your own faith, but continue publicly testifying for Jesus?

In We Will Not Be Silenced, Dr. Erwin W. Lutzer prepares you to live out your convictions against a growing tide of hostility. Gain a better understanding of nonbelievers' legitimate hurts and concerns regarding issues like racism, sexism, and poverty - and identify the toxic responses secular culture disguises as solutions. In the process, you'll see how you can show compassion and gentleness to those outside of the faith without affirming their beliefs.

We Will Not Be Silenced will ready you to move beyond fear and boldly accept the challenge of representing Christ to a watching world that needs him now more than ever before.

A Necessary Read

So much what the author has written about in this book are hot issues in the church...but i don’t believe they would have been too many years ago. With knowing that the church is divided on many important Biblical issues, we must learn how to speak up in humility and love and not cower to the cancel culture...this is a reality that all Christians must face. I think this book is such a valuable resource as Christians in America and I am personally grateful to Lutzer for writing it. I will be recommending it to many!

Very timely

This book is a well written and concise perspective on where the American church is today- and what a Christ like response looks like. Highly recommended!

Christian Carpe Diem

“Do this, knowing the time,
that it is already the hour for you to awaken from sleep;
for now salvation is nearer to us than when we believed.” Romans 13:11
I needed this book.
All Christians do.

Would not Recommend

Last month, our church recommended this book. This is probably the weakest resource you could ever get if you're looking to understand how to respond to the culture.

Does Lutzer give a systematic, BIBLICAL apologetic response to

👉slavery?
👉abortion?
👉racism?
👉sexual immorality?
👉idolatry?
👉private property rights/ communism?
👉civil disobedience?
👉human sinfulness?
👉THE GOSPEL?

!!!NO!!!

Just a lot of weak philosophy and history regarding the evolution of contemporary political movements. Would not reccomend.

Eye Opening, Heart Pounding

I listened to this book and could not help but think how could Dr Lutzer sleep after writing We Will Not Be Silenced. It provides well researched and documented material pulling back the curtain to what is happening in America today. We are well past the differences between Right and Left, Red and Blue, Republicans and Democrats. Dr Lutzer and his team has done a tremendous service to those who seek truth. To those who subscribe to the theory, ignorance is bliss, let me warn you. DO NOT read/listen to this book.

Not Helpful

No solutions offered, just more fear mongering of the conservative American world-view. I appreciated parts of the explanations of the Marxist views on sex and schools, but the hand waving past all the issues we conservatives create, promote, and perpetuate was disappointing.

The time is now here

I’ve heard many say over the last 60 years that the end was near. Luther reference to the silent German church of the 1930s is chilling. We will be sifted. Silence against the present tyranny will determine how the sifting will end.

Well-reasoned analysis of the culture at present.

Well-reasoned analysis of the culture at present. However, it won’t be seen as such by all. This was a bold book that will undoubtedly place a mega-target on Mr. Lutzer’s back. Fortunately, some of us will be strengthened by his call to stand firm. Thank you for your willingness to shine the light into this dark world.

Scary, but true

This is a wonderful book to help not just Christians but all who wonder what has happened to America and don’t like what they see or buy the politician’s or the media’s take on it all.
Christians are called to repentance and a continuation in the call to spread to Gospel despite the cost. The whole book was worth listening to and the chapter on Sexualizing our Children was very disturbing and speaks to the fact that EVIL still exists and how people are so easily deceived. Another common theme is that of Socialism and Marxism and how they have been romanticized for our younger generations. This also is very disturbing not only because of the devastation of these policies that led to millions of people suffering and being murdered in Communist countries who tried this Atheistic form of government with the naivety of a toddler but that our public schools have continued for the most part to neglect teaching our children History in favor of ridiculous social policy issues. Couple all this with Social Media and mindless electronic use and there is no wonder why the USA has forfeited its wonderful patriotic history for Anti Christian worship and victimhood.
Ultimately there is only one hope and that is faith in Jesus Christ. We should love others enough to share our faith even when there is a cost to us.

Read Patriots

Great book using biblical truths to expose the duplicity we face here in the USA today. Jesus is the only way. Stand up Christians and Patriots.
