Publisher's Summary

Still grieving a tragic personal loss, Lockey and Nate shift their focus to the task of acquiring resources for their new community’s continuing survival, but something dark is stirring.

An eerie shift in the behaviour of the undead makes Lockey’s apocalypse experience feel personal, and she has no idea why she appears to be the sole target for their murderous rage.

Convinced now that something otherworldly is at play, yet torn by questions she can’t hope to answer, Lockey concentrates her boundless energy towards building a safe home for her new apocalypse family. Such safety is fleeting though, for a new threat is revealed elsewhere in the county, obsessed with dominion over the dwindling number of local survivors.

Investigating this new peril while searching for other survivors - and hoping for answers to the questions that plague her waking hours - Lockey and Nate discover this new threat to their growing community is far more menacing than they could ever imagine...

...as dreams of light and dark commence.

Fantastic!

I’ve listened to all books in the AUD and without exception this series blew me away and exceeded all the others! Extremely witty and sensitive at the same time. Amazing writing and narrated by the perfect “Lockey”! Keep up the great work!

Lucky is the real deal!

I was not sure that these stories would capture the essence of the Adrian's Dead series, but I was so wrong. the secound book in the series left me wanting more.... Having been to England and Ireland many time, the reader captured the feeling of being there with a story that kept me on the edge of my seat. A wonderful accomplishment for all involved.

I already can’t wait for the next book!!!!

This book was fantastic. Well written, well narrated, and highly entertaining! It has enough suspense to be interesting, but not too much that you get annoyed by not knowing what is going on. I am already excited to read the next one!

So immersive, so engaging

Each time I had to press stop I really wanted to continue to listen. The story is fantastically written, superbly acted and left me wanting more each time. I'm looking forward to book 3 to continue the story.

The second Trinity has begun to rise...

This was a fantastic follow up to the first book, revealing lots of new characters and of course....the realisation of the trinity concept amongst some of the group.
A great read.

A great sequel

I loved the first book for the great characters it introduced but this one really gets deep into the story and begins to reveal the depth of the struggle that Lockey and her merry band are a part of. Can't say too much because...spoilers but I really like the tale that's unfolding and I can't wait for the next one.

Just as you start to settle in to the Cheshire post Apocalyptic world you get introduced to new protagonists and the mother of all hanging plot bombs. Carl and Danielle, I need book 3!

Superb continuing evolution

Both Erin and Nate continue to evolve in this second book, and there is a great deal more invested emotion from Erin in this volume in the wake of the personal tragedy suffered in Book 1, clearly changing her entire outlook of what's important. She's still got that sense of humour, but it's more natural with her evolution as she adapts to the apocalypse and realises just how important her new community really is to her.

And in this volume, the full supernatural weight of the original AUD series starts asserting itself, tying it firmly to Adrian's original tale and setting everything up for the third planned book of this trilogy.

As ever, Danielle's narration is superb, with all the main players like Nate and Erin so clear and distinct you know who's speaking even without the dialogue tags. Amazing job done.

Absolutely outstanding, bring on book 3!

I have been waiting patiently for this to come out on Audible for what seems like ages. I relistened to book 1 in preparation the week before to rev myself up for it. Then the day came, and it did not disappoint...

This is a brilliant story, a great continuation of the series and a perfect platform for the much anticipated 3rd in the series. The characters are developed really well, the pace of the story is outstanding and the plot is gripping. I smashed it in 4 days as I could not put it down.

This series doesn't just add to the AUD universe, it augments it. It's a MUST read/listen for any and all AUD fans.

The ending to this book is just... wow.

Bring on book 3 please, and quickly, Carl Meadows!
