virtual page Turner every time

is a lit RPG that actually doesn't get annoying. it's pretty well written excellent story and very good action. the author could benefit from some input from some experienced martial artists with regards to describing combat. but otherwise it's still really fun. also cut down on the use of the word "additionally" by at least 50%. while listening it got to a point where I could guess the word was coming up and say it before the narrator read it.

Frustrating until the end of the book

Roy is whining so hard in this book that I almost stopped listening to the book.

The last fight was good and it sets up the plot for the foreseeable future.

The romance between Aika and Roy is almost forgotten and I hope the author can fix it or and it.

I hope Roy puts on his big boy pants and grows up in the next one.

An “EXCELLENT” series.

Buckle Up Buttercup! This is a true LitRPG. Like the “Land and Labyrinth” series from Dr. Alaron Kong! Going from a young man nearly murdered by a foreign Clan. Forced to live in squalor and the outermost poverty, Forced to thank those whose punishments are cruel and totally without merit. This is where we are brought into the world of the Martial Arts.

Amazing!

This series just keeps getting better and better. I really loved the development of Giyon and his abilities in this book. Also for the first time I feel like we really get to see Roy fall into some significant self doubt. It makes you root for him all the more and is definitely relatable to the human condition/experience. The structure of the challenges was super well thought out and entertaining. I feel like incorporating that really helped to keep things moving along and definitely kept me engaged. There were also some seriously epic fights in this one, which didn't disappoint! Overall I felt like this book went deeper than the series has before and I can't wait to see what's in store for book 9!

Writer loses his place

Scions are introduced to each other for the first time, the second time? 3 books dedicated to the same tournament… yawn…

Enjoyed the book, some fights were drawn out but it did add a lot context to MCs abilities and mental capabilities.
