Great Read!

This was a terrific book. The characters were interesting and the plot most exciting. I think the narrator did an excellent job.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED SERIES!

This is the third book in the Glenmore Park series and in my opinion it is the best and most suspenseful. I don't know how this author got past me or why his books have so few ratings. If you are in any doubts it's not like Audible doesn't guarantee that you'll be happy with your purchase. Also if you have kindle unlimited the book will cost you $2.99!
In this book there is so much going on it's hard to put down, I kept wanting to know what happens next. There is the kidnapping of a child, adultery, betrayal of trust, jealousy, murders and much more all wrapped up in a really good police procedural.
This author's writing style reminds me a little of James Hayman, so anyone who enjoys the McCabe & Savage series I think would like this one as well.
The three books so far in this series are all stand alone books and can be read in any order, the same main characters are in all.
Eric Martin does a very good job narrating.
This book is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

another glorified Law and Order episode

So after listening to 5 of this authors books I realize they are mildly entertaining but reminiscent of a glorified Hollywood Law and Order episode. If you are a fan of this genre you will find yourself rolling your eyes as to how insanely ridiculous some of the events unfold. Just trust me you will know what I mean when you read it. With that said there were times were I was on the edge wondering what would happen next. Not enough character development for me to give a care about what happens to them. The thing is this is a disposal book that is mildly entertaining but will be forgotten in a day. Should be in the $.99 bin in paperback at Walmart.

Good book

It a good book. It's a crime novel at the same time, it's funny. I like that Mike Omer can do that. I do hope that there another book in this series. Hannah and Mitch get together. Mitch loving his job as he did in the first book. Enjoyable.

I was dreading this day...

...when I would come to the end of the three series Mike has written. If I had the patience to write a review for all nine books on my iPhone, I would have.
The characters in the series appear in each other's books in a very natural way. So though it isn't critical to read them from the 2016 set, that can be fun.
Rather than listing all the elements that are praise-worthy in every book, I suggest you Google "key requirements for a well-written novel/story."
Also, some of the books are described as "police procedural," this is a necessary component of the genre, not the focus. If I were up against a wall to pin down what IS the focus, it would be: the way in which the characters live and interact with each other through the events in the story." Use your credits!!!

Another great mystery novel by Omer

Ooooohhh I love me some detective crime mystery murder intrigue! I discovered this guy many years ago and thought to see what he has written since his first (fabulous) Zoe Bentley novel and wow! I found 5 novels and one novella. I have been tearing through these the past 2 weeks with joyful abandon. This Glenmore Park series deals a lot with the local police force's personalities (the series is considered to be in the police procedural mystery genre) but Zoe of course makes an appearance to help them profile the killer. This third book is about Hanna again, just like in the second book. Here, she is called by a family friend whose daughter has gone missing. Omer likes to write both from the police perspective and the victim's/perpetrator's perspective. Here we learn that the kidnapped girl is NOT getting molested but instead is being held for ransom. Detective Shore works diligently to figure out what the angle is. While the ending was a bit signaled earlier on in the book, the feminine perspective of things was much appreciated by this reader. Recommend!
