Publisher's Summary

From the celebrated poet, speaker, and educator comes Welcome Home, a powerful blueprint for building a strong foundation of self-worth, belonging, and happiness.

“A master class in self-actualization and compassion.” (Mari Andrew, New York Times best-selling author of Am I There Yet?)

The powerful metaphor of home provides a structure for you to customize your journey to personal transformation as Najwa Zebian shares her own experiences in building a home within herself and shows you how to construct the following “rooms”:

  • Self-Love: Learn how to build an individualized self-care routine to reflect your daily needs.
  • Forgiveness: Learn how to allow yourself time, reflection, and space to accept and let go of painful events.
  • Compassion: Discover the three different types of compassion and learn how you can let people in while maintaining boundaries.
  • Clarity: Learn how to remove the walls you put up around your authentic self.
  • Surrender: Learn how to lower your defenses and give yourself space to feel and process your emotions.
  • The Dream Garden: Learn how to nurture your dreams and create an authentic, original path.

With practical tools, poetry, and prompts for journaling and meditation to lead to self-understanding in each chapter, Zebian shows you how to build each room in your house. Written with her trademark power, candor, and warmth, Welcome Home is an answer to the pain we all experience when we don't feel at peace with ourselves.

Living through the COVID-19 pandemic put the fleeting nature of human life front and center, and served as a turning point in the lives of millions. Radical shifts in social interactions and ways of working, along with the prevalence of illness and grief, motivated many to reassess their priorities. A staggering number of adult workers pivoted their careers or just plain left the workforce entirely, in a phenomenon that’s been coined The Great Resignation.

Spoke to my soul

I listened to the entire book over a two day road trip and it spoke to my soul. It was an extra treat to hear it narrated by the author herself.
Thank you Najwa for the stunning picture you have painted in my mind forever.

A great book—Welcome Home!

My sister asked if this book had anything to do with being in the military and I said “no “ but I was wrong! It is for everyone especially people who have experienced trauma of any sort. I would call it a self help book but not sure the author would agree.

Deeply and practically helpful

This book has helped me so much. Read by the author in her calm and soothing voice, the ideas and stories will speak to your heart. As an empath I have struggled with creating boundaries and maltreatment and have done so much work over the years but that inside heartache still plagued me. “Welcome Home” is real help if this resonates with you. Even if you would not call yourself empathic, the concept of coming home to yourself in a joyful way is so refreshing and real. I cannot imagine a person who could benefit from Welcome Home.” I’m journaling along with the chapters which further enhances the impact. I highly recommend this audio book.

One of the most significant books I’ve read

Everything in this book is for me and for you. Looking inward and discovering our truth, voice, trust and self love IS the lesson of our human experience and This book describes it all. I really enjoyed the descriptive analogy of building and decorating a home. Her writing is poetic and descriptive and her voice is soothing. I will be buying this book for every women I love.

I only listened because my wife….

I only listened because my daughter listened, she told my wife and shared it was a great book. So that I could be on the same page. I had a few credits so I listened.

Struggling to find the right words. If you’re looking for motivational hype, this is not the book you’re looking for.

It’s a compassionate and courageous account of personal transformation with a model, aka building a Home within, that’s easy to understand.

Highly recommend.
