Top 40 Amazon Best Seller

From Wall Street Journal best-selling author Giana Darling comes an age gap, forbidden romance between an ex-con MC President and the daughter of the town’s mayor....

I was a good girl.
I ate my vegetables, volunteered at the local autism centre, and sat in the front pew of church every Sunday.
Then, I got cancer.
What the hell kind of reward was that for a boring life well lived?
I was a 17-year-old paradigm of virtue, and I was tired of it.
So, when I finally ran into the man I'd been writing to since he saved my life as a little girl and he offered to show me the dark side of life before I left it for good, I said yes.
Only, I didn't know that Zeus Garro was the President of The Fallen MC and when you made a deal with a man who is worse than the devil, there was no going back....

This is Zeus Garro's story from Lessons In Corruption. A stand-alone in The Fallen Men Series.

Fanfreakingtastic!!!!

I skipped this book for so long because I was afraid of the Cancer aspect but I was so wrong. Cancer doesn't ruin this book it makes the book! So if you're avoiding because you think the cancer makes it too sad or not sexy, trust me when I tell u to just go for it. You'll be glad you did. Zeus and LouLou became one of my favorite age gap couples, I love that you get so much raw and gritty mc life with it. Im amazed that Giana Darling managed to avoid all the things I hate about romance, no skipping years to make LouLou older, no making Zues a sap, and many more. Jason Clarke is one of my favorite narrators and he killed it and sounded sexy af doing it but for me Desiree Ketchum embodied little Lou and made her come to life. Worth a credit I'll definitely listen to it multiple times

Perfect narration

I really liked this story. I didn’t listen to the first book because it was narrated by only a female. This is a MC series and I know there are a couple of women narrators that don’t do well for men voices, so I didn’t want to waste a credit. But I love Troy Duran so I bought the third book. I hope it’s as good as this one.

I dont understand all the glowing reviews....

About 3.5 hour in and i just couldn't take it anymore. First - she is 17 years old! I like age gap stories, h*ll my significant other is 16 years older than me, but a 17 year old and late 30s?!?! Perhaps i could have gotten over how young she is (i googled the age of consent in Canada) if her experiences lead to maturity and depth in her that allowed for a serious relationship with an older man (not that an older man would necessarily means he is smarter). But she is annoying, immature, self centered 17 year old, having a hormonally induced hissy fit. And also... she is dealing with cancer, she is out all night 3 nights per week at a strip joint, volunteering, getting straight As, still taking ballet classes.... and let me remind you all of this while having cancer. And in general, the whole premise of this book is so far fetched, the storyline is completely unbelievable, the setting is such a cartoonish MC story. I was hoping for some depth, some angst, in stead i got this clusterf*ck. Don't waste a credit, if you want a story with some depth, with adults all around, i suggest Kristen Ashley's Chaos MC series.

The only positive i can mention is Jason Clark's narration. Love his voice

MC, age gap PERFECTION!

This is Giana Darling’s BEST writing to date. Zeus and LouLou’s story is not one I’d usually pick up due to the 19 year age gap but I’m telling you it worked so well and Giana is a brilliant writer when it comes to the age gaps trope! There was nothing about it that felt wrong. It was beautifully developed and from the moment he rescues her from the time she was a little girl he became her protector and an unbreakable bond was formed. I adored the letter writing between Lou & Zeus and their sweet friendship was formed. At a young age LouLou was diagnosed with cancer. She beats it and by the time she is 17 years old she is a fiery, confident, sassy young woman that had to grow up way to fast fighting her cancer and fending for herself because of two parents that barely paid attention to her and were more worried about high society life than their own daughter.

The love, passion and intimacy between LouLou and Zeus was next level! It is unique, beautiful and so perfect for them. The spice level in this book is top notch. Some of the hottest, steamiest scenes I’ve EVER read.

By the end of Lessons in Corruption I was left feeling a little disappointed in the action. It was very meek for an MC book. When I pick up an MC book I except there to be suspense, action, murder and mayhem and wow did Giana step it up in this one! There was so much going on. Trust and loyalty within the club’s members was put into question, a kidnapping, heavy violence and danger at every turn. It kept me on the edge of my seat the entire book! I cannot wait for Zeus’ daughter Harleigh Rose’s book next! I already know I’m in for an intense angsty ride and I am READY!

Jason Clarke and Desiree Ketchum narrate this book and their voices perfectly depict these characters. I couldn’t get enough of Jason Clarke with his sexy growl and rasp and the way his voice bleeds all the emotions, whether lust, love, loyalty, danger, fear or protection I felt it ALL! Desiree did a phenomenal job voicing LouLou. Her pitch, tone and delivery was spot on. I loved the way she changes the pitch of her voice when voicing a young LouLou versus her present age. This story is utter perfection. The writing and the narration was superbly done and would give this more than five stars if I could!

ALL The Feels!!

I was excited about this book when I was only halfway through the first one of the series. I’m not at all disappointed! It was so good! Be prepared, it will take you through all the emotions at one point or other.
The narrators did well and the storyline continues and gets better from the last book. Definitely worth the credit!

Epic age gap romance!

When I saw Welcome to the Dark Side had an audiobook, I freaked! I am obsessed with this series and this book in particular. Jason Clarke and Desiree Ketchum did a fantastic job bringing Zeus and LouLou to life!

Zeus and LouLou have an interesting start to their relationship. They start out as friends, penpals, and with much time, it becomes more. I know some people are going to have an issue with the nineteen year age gap, but it didn’t bother me at all. I mean, yeah in real life, but this is fiction and I’m totally here for it in my books.

I loved how much Lou and Zeus loved each other. I never ever questioned their love or loyalty. He was her monster and she was his angel and I loved them so much together. I also loved Zeus’s family and there were moments I cried buckets and others I was so happy- this one was an emotional rollercoaster and this review is really rambley… but all I really want to say is I loved this book so much and I highly recommend to anyone who’s looking for a great biker romance

Welcome to the Dark Side

OMG this was a crazy ass roller coaster of a ride❣️At first I wasn’t sure about this book/listen🎧but I Fucken Loved It! I could so relate in some ways, since I too was a 17 year old bride and my man was 10 years older and an officer in the military🇺🇸but I digress(BTW we’re still happily married for 40years)I loved the narrators, especially Jason Clarke(Z)he’s one of my top 5 male narrators 🤤 I must say Desiree Ketchum was perfection for LouLou. So many crazy ups & downs I just Fucken Loved It! I have read/listened to hundreds of books and very few make me cry but Chapter 36 & 37 had me choking back tears😭with all that said…Is it worth the credit?
Fuck Yeah🤭Enjoy🎧📖❤️

Love, love, LOVE Lou and Zeus!

Ooooof. Loulou and Zeus' tale is something else. Intense, emotional and deliciously taboo and filthy. A sexy, take-no-prisoners, protective and possessive alpha male and a feisty, sassy, strong heroine that know what they want and are willing to fight for that tooth and nail, no matter how painful at times. To say I loved every single second of the ride is a total understatement.

The fact that Zeus is brought to life by Jason Clarke, one of my absolute favorite narrators, is only icing on the sinful cake. Desiree Ketchum as Loulou was amazing as well. A well-rounded, emotional, multi-faceted performance that only enhanced this intense story.

MC Forbidden Romance goodness

This is my favourite of The Fallen Men series. Everyone that has read this series, always talks about Zeus Garro and when I read it for myself I understood why. So when I found out that Jason Clarke (one of my favourite narrators) was voicing Zeus I just had to listen.

Welcome to the dark side focuses on the president of The Fallen Men MC and a girl 18 years his junior who he saves when a rival gang launch an attack on The Fallen Men's territory. An unlikely friendship grows over more than a decade and one that is endearing as the heroine Lou goes through so much in the first 20 years of her life. The romance element is forbidden and may not be to everyone's taste. However for me I enjoyed the storyline of this novel, I could form an attachment to the characters and Zeus as a president of an MC really isn't the man you expect. He is far from cold hearted, mean and immoral. As for Lou, well she is quite the inspirational heroine, what she goes through and comes out of the other side of shows a true strength of character. The symbolism surrounding how she copes and how she survives, made me love her more. I found it easy to like the MC's.

A special shout out to Mute, a character I absolutely adored in this book. One that I won't forget about anytime soon.

Jason and Deiree performed Welcome to the Dark Side beautifully. I think they really captured the essence of both Zeus and Lou showcasing their journey from start to finish. I especially loved the letters between them through Lou's formative years while Zeus was incarcerated. Well worth a listen for fans or new readers/listeners of The Fallen Men series.

W O W

Giana has such a beautiful writing style. Some of the story is harsh and gritty but the words she uses literally feed my soul 💗.
I love how she finds beauty in flaws.
The fallen men are definitely my favourite series, I’ve read all her books, and was wondering how the narrators would manage to portray the characters I have come to love. They did a brilliant job and really bought them to life. I know I will listen to this time and again. Thank you Giana

Okay… but Something was missing

Good biker story, great age gap…. buuut
I felt like something was missing. Especially some detailed smut. When you write more details about a funeral 😭 then the smut, it’s just not dying it for me…
Sorry a wanted so much to love this one

+18 Dark MC Romance - taboo, age-gap

This one was touch and go!!! I liked it but I was hunting for any signs of grooming behaviour between the male lead and the female lead the entire time! the age gap is 19 years! They met when he saved her life when she was like 6 yo and he was what, in his 20s? 21? something like that. They exchanged letters throughout her years and his prison sentence (he kills someone to save her life - this ain't a spoiler) and he only stops when she hits something like 14-15 years and it is clear she has a crush on him so he creates distance.

The transformation from hero-worship to romance is real subtle...

I don't think it is too bad in comparison to many other age-gap taboo romances. It is romantic and emotional and by the end of the book I was sold on their romance and how right they are for one-another.

4.5/5 🌶

- taboo: age-gap (19years)
- taboo: years of unrequited love + hero worship
- medium burn spice + romance

This is Book 2 in the series of connected stand-alones. The couple is 'new' but the overall timeline of the plot requires Book 1 to be read before reading this one.

- character/romance focused plot

Not for everyone. Check CWs.

Wow

This story was explosive. I loved it from the start. Zeus was such a strong character. With lots happening in the book, side characters working behind the scenes. It kept me enthralled till the end.
Narration was awesome too.
