This raw, violent, and brutal world isn't populated with military supermen and women, or preppers that have been waiting for the human extinction event to arrive. This is a world of normal people...some good, some bad...and some pure evil. This is a global look at the end of the world. Story
It's been three long years since Deadbreak. That's what everyone's calling it - the day the dead rose. Every day since then, Jeremiah Reid has had one goal: to make his way back to his daughter. With his four-legged companion, Joe, Jeremiah has to travel a lawless wasteland teeming with zombies, bandits, and worse, like people who put anchovies on pizza (you know who you are). It's a new world out there, and no one is safe. People are weary, cities are in ruin, supplies are scarce, and brains are on the menu.

The world is suddenly thrown into chaos as a research project is sabotaged and the dead come alive to feast on the living - it seems like an old story, doesn’t it? The Apocalypse Crusade is not that book. You are not suddenly thrust into a world gone mad. Instead, you get front-row seats to how the sh-t went down. It was just a random mutation - one of a billion that happen in viruses every day. But this one was different. It exploded out of Somalia and spread across the oceans before anybody thought to look up from their cell phones to see what was going on. The infected breathed the virus into the air around them, spreading it through the cities faster than anyone thought possible. Hospitals were overwhelmed. Police lines crumbled. Quarantine sites disintegrated. Cities started to collapse.

Story
We were fighting on the wrong side of a war we couldn't win. And that was the good news. The Ruhar hit us on Columbus Day. There we were, innocently drifting along the cosmos on our little blue marble, like the native Americans in 1492. Over the horizon come ships of a technologically advanced, aggressive culture, and BAM! There go the good old days, when humans only got killed by each other. So, Columbus Day. It fits. When the morning sky twinkled again, this time with Kristang starships jumping in to hammer the Ruhar, we thought we were saved.

I'M HOOKED!!!
This book is so damn good, it should come with a warning. There's no way you can listen to the first season and not crave more.
The second season picks up right where the first one ended. The story gers better. New characters are introduced, and of course all the old favorites are back.
Best production EVER.

Characters are inconsistent
Worth a listen, but honestly, Sgt Michael Cross must have been the luckiest soldier in history to survive two tours of duty. He makes a lot of stupid decisions. As far as his role in military intelligence, the bar must have been lowered significantly.

better than the first
it's. No master piece but it still very good. sound effects are great and some of the characters I'm enjoying tho they did kill of one I was liking but that's the thing with this type of book. my negative is that Michael need to work on his temper it's so out of place. or maybe it's angel I get mixed on them sometimes as they are alike. but Sol is good fun and Bert has finally grown on me with that daft gruff voice.

great - worth a credit
I read a few negative reviews about this series but I enjoyed it.
It made a nice change from some of the other zombie books by having a couple of women characters in it who were more then 2 dimensional victims waiting to be raped or rescued by men - that does get a bit boring after a while!
The full cast format was also refreshing but there were times when it did get a bit hard to work out who was talking. Worth persisting though. It kept me listening; and now I'm going to use my last credit to buy season 3 :)
