Love is important, but it is respect that is the key to your son's heart. The idea of moms respecting their sons may sound alien to some, but it seems to ignite curiosity across the board. It is easy to relate to the need for all of us to feel a mother's love, but is that the same thing as respect? Even for young boys, the effect of respect is nothing short of astounding when applied properly.

If you are religious you might like this book
I am not a religious person. I feel like I wasted my credits on this book because it talks about praying and God a lot! To me that's not a solution to anything. It should probably say it in the preview that it's coming from a religious point of view. It did have some good advice at first but had to stop after chapter 4. Not happy with this book. Heads up to the mommas that would get this book, it is sprinkled with God, talk of prayers and bible quotes.

Not very informative
This is a feel good, religious book rooted in scripture and anecdotes fictional characters. Some of the advice, such as being a mom who “bakes AND cooks” didn’t resonate with me. I was disappointed that the reviews didn’t paint a clearer picture before I downloaded this. Also, as many mentioned it sounds like a robot reading.

I liked how the book began, but as it progressed it got more and more religious. I am a very open minded individual, and grew up in a Lutheran atmosphere. I would have liked to enjoy this book without having religion shoved down my throat. Tried to skip chapters to continue the book, but couldn’t finish it.

TOO RELIGEOUS
So heavily wrapped in religion from beginning to end it was hard to filter out the applicable and helpful nuggets from each chapter.
Personally I believe it should have come with a warning for those of us not looking for sermons.
Clearly a Trojan horse for heavy handed promotion of Christianity.
If I wish to read/listen to the bible I will read/listen to the bible.

some good points but a little Bible bashy
I really liked the way the books flowed and found a lot of the conversation and tips helpful and opened my mind to handling situations in a different way however there was a lot of reference to God and the Bible and prayer of which I'm not convinced can influence raising a boy in this day and age
