Story
Look, when I met the sexy, witty Brit on the streets of London last night, I had no idea who he was. He was just that hot guy I wanted to have a drink with, so I asked him out for my first evening in town. One thing almost led to another. After a midnight kiss, we made plans for a whole lot more the next day. But when I unlock the door to my rental in the morning, the English hottie is lounging on the couch like he lives here too. Great. For the next year, I’ll be sharing a tiny flat with the sexiest guy I’ve ever known.

Publisher's Summary
Beautifully tender and unforgettably funny, prepare to fall in love with this modern-day nod to a classic romantic comedy.
Ever since their chance encounter as seatmates on the plane ride from hell, Harry “Harrison” Fields and Harry “Henry” Lee have had a love-hate relationship. But every time their paths have crossed over the years, they’ve grown to like each other more and more, even developing an unlikely friendship.
Now, Harrison is a fun-loving music teacher who wears his heart on his sleeve, and Henry is a hard-driving business man who’s still striving to get out of his father’s shadow.
As they go through life’s inevitable heartaches and losses, their friendship only deepens. Sure, there’s always been a simmering attraction between them, but nothing worth threatening their friendship over...until one of them takes things too far. But when a valuable friendship hangs in the balance, is a chance at romance worth the price?

Just not for me I guess...
I was so looking forward to this book but only minutes into it, I knew I was going to struggle to finish it. I am just not a fan of this type of third person narrative, If this had been written in first, I probably would have loved the story. In the first hour I bet there were over 100 "Harry" said & "Harrison" said and I struggle to not notice it every time. Also sadly the weird "tinkling music" between chapters was not for me, I found it pulled me right out of the story every time.
For me the best thing about this audiobook was Teddy Hamilton, if not for him, I probably wouldn't have made it past the first few chapters.

A romantic comedy that forgot the comedy.
This is a color-by-numbers trope fest that has not one single legitimate laugh, despite lifting its plot in whole from one of the greatest romantic comedies of all time. No wit. No sparkling banter. No chemistry between the main characters, who are little more than cyphers. Shallow and, frankly... insulting. Save your hard earned credit and get something by KJ Charles, TJ Klune or Lily Morton.

Disappointing
I listened to this story because I really love Teddy Hamilton. He and Malcolm do a terrific job of narration. I liked both the main characters but was frustrated with the course of their romance. It takes 3/4 of the book for them to get together and immediately after, Henry backs off because of fear?
Insecurity? A non loving relationship with his father? I just didn’t get why he was so reluctant to be with Harrison. This “I want you but I can’t have you” goes in for months in the story! Henry’s dysfunctional relationship with his father went completely unresolved. All in all I spent too much time in angst and too little time enjoying resolution. Do NOT get this book if you enjoy specific description of romantic/sexual activity. Sex between Harrison and Henry is glossed over. The reader is informed that Harrison had difficulty walking following sex. Disappointing.

No romance, no comedy and serious production issue
As others here have said, this m/m retelling of one of the greatest Rom Coms ever is lacking in both "rom" and "com". I lilked the friendship the author created between the two Harrys, but the serious lack of any chemistry made it hard to believe they were actually attracted to each other, let alone falling in love.
Teddy Hamilton is a favourite narrator and always reliable; Malcolm Young wasn't bad (although there were some inconsistencies between their interpretations of some characters), but the production quality of his sections was TERRIBLE. It sounds like he was recording in a bathroom; the sound is tinny and treble-y and i can't understand how it got past post-production. Given this was a third person narration, I have no idea why two narrators were used anyway.
Ultimately, this was a disappointment. The story started well but started to fizzle out around the half way point and honestly, I got bored. :(
Also - PLEASE STOP putting music into audiobooks! It's bad enough when you get it at the beginning and the end, but between chapters?! Nope. It drove me nuts.

Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan would approve
This sweet, sometimes heartbreaking, story inspired by When Harry Met Sally would make Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan smile. It’s a slow burn that does justice to the phrase so often used in proposals and wedding vows, “I fell in love with my best friend, my soulmate.”
For anyone who has not heard these narrators before, you’ll enjoy their performance. Teddy Hamilton is one of my favorites, and I think they did a great job with the characters.

Enjoyed this SO much!
Wonderful narration!
Malcolm Young was new to me, and it initially took me a moment to get used to his sound following Teddy’s...but I really liked him. I’ve heard quite a few books with Teddy in the past, but this was one of his best. He was so freaking good in this...and the end of chapter 20 should put him up for some sort of award. I’ve gone back to listen to that segment 3x just to experience the full range of emotion. It brought me to tears on my first listen. I really loved the story too! New to me author who I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for.

Just Wow
What a great story. A wonderful slow burn that really gets you attached to all the characters. It's very well developed, well narrated, well written. I thoroughly loved it. I enjoy books that have a nice long plot, and a slow burn where you really get into the book. This is exactly that. I can't believe it's on Audible Escape, I've had a hard time finding good books on here, especially in the LGBT group. But this is great if you're looking for this kind of book.

Loved the book
I really enjoyed the book. The story was very interesting. I thought the narrators conveyed the personality of each character. The only negative for me was the music at the beginning of each chapter. Even when the chapter ended with serious thoughts from the characters, there was always the same upbeat, wistful music at the start of the next chapter. At first, I found it annoying and distracting, then I got used to it. Overall, it was still a very good book.

Sweet Semi-Angsty Rom Com
This was my first ever audiobook experience and I’m so glad this has started the journey. A really nice character driven rom com about enemies-friends-lovers. I will say though, it’s a fade to black type story so don’t expect any steam.
I enjoyed the narrators, one more than the other, but overall a good experience. There were some issues with audio quality but not enough to dampen my experience. Overall, give it go.

This was fine
Now I don't need every book I read to have smut, but I do need there to be an emotional connection between the couple and I found this lacking. Harrison for sure was into Henry, but Henry...Not so much. I could have done with a little more relationship development and a lot more grovel. It was fine but ultimately forgettable.

Cute cute cute
A lot cuter than I was expecting! Sort of obvious drama/conflict, but the characters were cute and the narration was great, definitely worth a listen! I wanted it to have a longer ending and for the characters to figure out what we all knew was going to happen, quicker, but it was well written and you couldn't help but root for them, but maybe that's bc I'm also a hopeless romantic like Harrison

Cute
This is a real sweetheart of a story, it’s made by walk to work so enjoyable, that I’d leave early and walk the long way, great writing and the performance was good too

How I would like my life to be
The story gripped me in the first chapter. The characters are easy to like and want to know. I felt that the story didn’t go far enough into their relationship and probably the story was a little too short. However I enjoyed it immensely. I’ve given the rating because it gave me wanting more. But made me happy.

Enjoyable but performance could be improved
The story was sweet, predictable but still enjoyable to listen to. The last part of the book (after Christmas) was slightly too slow for my liking - but the x1.5 speed fixed that for me.
I was slightly put off by the narration which was not uniform across this audio book.
Overall, I am glad I listened to it.

Sweet Story, great listen
There was music which made it seem a little cheesey but apart from that I loved this story and the narration was fantastic

A satisfying conclusion
The first couple of chapters were a bit of a bore as the author wrote about very mundane daily tasks in unnecessary detail. I'm glad that we eventually got to see the full emotions of the main characters.
Three stars overall because none of the characters are charming enough to leave an impression.

A sweet rom-com which could have been punchier!
Harry “Harrison” Fields and Harry “Henry” Lee are mutually unimpressed with each other when they meet on an uncomfortable international flight - they utterly disagree on what love is. Years later they meet in San Francisco where both have located and a beautiful, comfortable friendship forms. Supporting each other through relationship breakups and career achievements, the only people oblivious to their love for each other are themselves. I thought this would be a enemies-to-lovers story but really it’s an enemies-to-friends-to-eventually-finally-stop-wasting-time-lovers. I loved the friendship and their interactions but I felt the story petered out towards the end as my frustration levels peaked - why did it take Henry so long to get onboard? There was good chemistry but no on-page heat between Harrison and Henry so the story lacked punch. Teddy Hamilton (as Harrison) and Malcolm Young (as Henry) narrated extremely well, but why not one of the excellent Asian narrators around to voice Singaporean Henry?
