Rushed and sloppy

I have had a love hate relationship with this series since New Orleans but the series had so much potential i had to finish. Never say die and all that jazz but honestly this book could have. All that potential wasted! the book was rushed with the main characters not doing much but being in their own heads and honestly barely being themselves in some aspects. i don't think the plot was thought through and if it was it was sloppily/ lazily carried out. i don't like giving negative reviews but i seriously feel like the readers/ fans who have waited for the final installment deserved better.

Spoilers alert

I enjoyed the first 8 books more than you know.. I enjoyed the story enjoyed the build up. The last book was disappointing and hoping the author decides to add more to it, I will re read. This ending was rushed and I was left with too many questions. I wanted to read about Lexie with zeek and miles. How does zeek handle it, is quiet miles quiet in the bedroom. What did they decide to do after graduation… we don’t know if they will split up or if they will stay together.

It seemed for a second Asher was going to end up with a mate or bonded to the injured wolf. This series needs a revised ending we need more details… but I don’t regret listening to it I loved the series that’s why I gave it 3 stars because of last book… just too short not enough information…what ever happened with Riley?

I expected more

I binged all the other books in this series. The ending to this one was disappointing to me. It was still a good story, however, it left me wanting more. It just seems like there should’ve been more to the storyline at the end.

Unfinished

I'm disappointed in the ending. It felt rushed. I feel like the story could have been told in three books. She could have done so much more with the reverse harem. I wanted a show down with Jadis. I wanted to see where her powers could take her. Overall I feel let down.

I want to cry

I want to weep for all of the time I had spent listening to this series. This was one of my first paranormal YA series. I didn't have anything to compare it to, so I kept hearing despite my growing annoyance of the main character's attitude, which incidentally came to be ignorant self-deluded, and above all, hypocritical. Through it all, I was striving for a change of pace, a twist, something unexpected, but I shortly realized that there were no surprises in store with this series. It's about a necromancer who can do no wrong in the eyes of everyone but the girls around her who are just jealous. All her friends end up in love with her, a dwelling to share with her. No, this is not a reverse harem story. It's polygamy. The author could have scribbled it on the side of a plastic lunchbox for the amount of time it took to write this and packaged it up so he could sell it and move on with the author's next. RIP please never make a return

The rest of the series was so good until this

I loved the entire rest of the series until this book. It feels like the author got sick of the story and just wrote this to get it over with. For such a slow burn series, the ending was both super rushed and super anticlimactic.

I hate to see it end!!

I love this series, she could write 9 more books about these characters and I would by them. I hope there will be spin offs. Now that they r all 18 it would be nice to explore the romance/adult parts of the relationships.

A Ride Worth Taking

Wow... I mean, just wow.

Ending this series has left me sorting out a whole mess of emotions haha. it's an absolutely amazing read. Do you want to be truly absorbed in a world beyond this one? with magic, supernatural beings, hard-won connections, love, loss, triumph, failure... I mean, you name your destination and this series has it in spades.

But the aspect that has me actually leaving a review when I have yet to leave any others on audible? I'll tell ya :) if you're reading this review then it may be safe to say that your into supernatural harem type stories too. I've got over 200 titles on audible pretty much devoted solely to paranormal romance and a very large portion of those are reverse harem series. In all the series I've read, I've always wondered in the back of my mind, how that type of relationship would really work in the real world. in our novels, we like the steamy romances and those unforgettable romantic encounters, sure. But have you ever wondered what it would be like if it wasn't a fantasy-like alignment of the stars that resulted in the perfect mesh of personalities suitable for a harem relationship? I have!

This series was the first and only paranormal reverse harem series I've ever read that truly explored that question and reality. if you're here for the sex scenes, then you'll need to wait a good while to reach that destination, but isn't that how it would actually play out? Navigating one relationship is challenging enough, but 5 of them? This series is the perfect example of true character and relationship development and the story is one that will have you hooked from beginning to end. Absolutely brilliant pacing, with plenty of twists and turns to keep you guessing and rooting for your favorites.

Do yourself a kindness and read the series. I promise you it'll be worth it.
